यंदा कर्त्तव्य आहे (Yanda kartavya aahe)

राहुल देसाई हा एक बँकेत नोकरी करणारा तरुण लग्नासाठी तयार नसतो. पण त्याची आजी खूप आजारी पडते, आणि आजीची इच्छा असते कि राहुलचे लग्न झालेले  बघायचे. मग राहुलचे आई वडील खूप स्थळ बघतात. राहुल त्यातील एक मुलगी पसंत करतो. राहुलचे म्हणणे असते कि साखरपुडा करू पण लग्न अजून काही दिवसाने करु. पण राहुलचे आई-वडील, आजीची शेवटची इच्छा असे म्हणून लग्न करायला लावतात.

राहुलचे स्वातीशी लग्न होते. पण दोघांना एकमेकांना लग्नापूर्वी भेटून आवडी-निवडी समजून घ्यायला वेळच नसतो कारण लग्न अतिशय घाई घाईत होते. लग्न झाल्यानंतर मग दोघे हनिमूनला महाबळेश्वरला जातात. तिथे जाताना दोघेही अवघडलेले असतात . त्यातून स्वातीच्या भावाने जे हॉटेल बुक केले असते तिथे ह्यांचे बुकिंगच नसतेच. मग राहुल त्याच्या मित्राला, मंग्याला फोन करतो आणि अशोक विहार नावाच्या हॉटेल मध्ये यांच्या राहण्याची सोय होते. हॉटेल महाग असते पण आता दुसरे हॉटेल शोधणे शक्य नसते त्यामुळे तिथेच राहण्याचे ठरवतात.

तिथे त्यांना हॉटेलचे मॅनेजर पाठक भेटतात. आणि हे पाठक, राहुलच्या मित्राचे मित्र असतात. हॉटेल मध्ये गेल्यावर एक एक धमाल सुरु होते. आणि ती सगळी धमाल बघा "यंदा कर्तव्य आहे" या सिनेमात.

नवविवाहित दाम्पत्याला वाटणाऱ्या सगळ्या अडचणी खूप मजेशीर पद्धतीने दाखविण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे. मुख्य म्हणजे अंकुश चौधरी आणि स्मिता शेवाळे यांनी तो खूप छान निभावला आहे. स्मिता शेवाळे या सिनेमात खूप सुंदर दिसते. सिनेमा छान आहे. विनोदी सिनेमा आवडत असल्यास जरूर बघावा.

Rahul Desai has a well paid job in a bank. He is not in hurry of marriage, but his grandmother is keen to see his wedding before her death. His parents convince him and find some good proposal for him. He likes one girl and thinks he can get officially engaged, and then then get married after awhile, once he knows her well. But once the decision is made, his parents rush him and get him married soon.

Rahul gets married to Swati. They do not really know each other well, since they do not get much time to spend together before the marriage. They leave for honeymoon to Mahabaleshwar, the popular hill station destination. By the time they reach there, they are really tired. After reaching the hotel, they get the news that the hotel they thought was booked not not actually booked for them and is full. They Rahul calls his friend Mangesh aka Mangya, he makes arrangements for them to stay in a hotel called Ashok Vihar. This hotel is expensive, but they still decide to stay there, since there is no other hotel available. 

The hotel manage Pathak is a friend of Rahul's friend Mangya. Pathak is an interesting character. The fun starts after they check in the hotel. Watch this in the Marathi movie "Yanda Kartavya aahe".

All the small problems and difficulties typical newly married couple who have gone through arranged marriage go through. Both Ankush Chaudhari and Smita Shevale have depicted the roles very well. If you love light comedies, you will enjoy this movie for sure. Do let us know your comments.

द नेमसेक (The Namesake)

अशोक गांगुलीला कलकत्त्याला लहानाचा मोठा झालेला आणि आता अमेरिकेत एका युनिवर्सिटी मध्ये पीएचडी करत असतो. तो लग्न करायला म्हणून भारतात येतो. जुन्या रीतिरिवाजाप्रमाणे मुलगी बघून लग्न ठरवले जाते. मुलगी असते असीमा. असीमाला खरतर शास्त्रीय संगीताची खूप आवड असते. ती शिकत देखील असते. पण आई-वडील लग्न ठरवतात आणि त्या दोघांना पण काही प्रोब्लेम नसतो. त्यामुळे ती दोघे लग्न करून अमेरिकेत येतात. अशोक गांगुली खूपच चांगला असतो. आशिमाची चांगली काळजी घेतो. त्यांना लवकरच एक मुलगा होतो. मुलाचे नाव काय ठेवायचे असा प्रश्न असतो, पण भारतात सांगितल्यावर ते पत्रिका बघणार, मग जन्माक्षर येणार आणि मग नाव ठरणार याला खूप दिवस लागत असल्याने, व अमेरिकेत नाव ठेवल्याशिवाय घरी जाता येणे शक्य नसल्याने मुलाचे नाव गोगोल ठेवण्यात येते. गोगोलचे नाव निखील असेही ठेवण्यात येते, पण गोगोल हेच नाव प्रचलित होते. थोडे दिवसाने दुसरी मुलगी होते, तिचे नाव सोनिया ठेवण्यात येते.

शाळेत नाव घालायला जेव्हा आई-वडील जातात, तेव्हा गोगोलचे नाव निखील असे सांगण्यात येते, पण गोगोल म्हणतो की त्याला निखील आवडत नाही व शाळेत गोगोल हेच नाव ठेवायचे. सुरवातीला त्याला त्याच्या नावा बद्दल काहीच प्रोब्लेम नसतो. जेव्हा तो ६-७ जातो तेव्हा शाळेतील मुले त्याला त्याच्या नावावरून चिडवतात. ते बघून त्याला खूप वाईट वाटते व तो आई-वडिलांना म्हणतो की तुम्हाला दुसरे कुठले नाव सुचले नाही का? इतके वाईट नाव का ठेवले? पण आई-वडील काही सांगत नाही. थोडक्यात गोगोलला त्याच्या नावाचा तिटकारा असतो. तो जेव्हा हायस्कूल मध्ये जातो तेव्हा त्याला कळते की निकोलाई गोगोल नावाचा एक कोणीतरी रशियन लेखक होता. त्याच्या वडिलांना तो लेखक खूप आवडत असल्याने त्याचे नाव गोगोल ठेवण्यात आले आहे. गोगोल हा लेखक जरी खूप हुशार असतो, तरी तो थोडा विचित्र असतो. आणि सगळी मुले गोगोल उर्फ निखीलला, लेखकाच्या या विचित्र कॅरेक्टर मुळे चिडवत असतात. आता शाळा संपवून दुसऱ्या गावात युनिवर्सिटी मध्ये जाणार असतो. तो तिथे त्याचे नाव निक असे सांगतो, तिथे आता नवीन आयुष्य सुरु होते. त्याला तिथे एक मॅक्सीन नावाची एक गर्लफ्रेंड मिळते. तिचे आई-वडील खूप श्रीमंत असतात. निक आता घरी आई-वडिलांना टाळू लागतो. आईचा कधीही फोन आला तरी हा घरीच नसतो. तो घरी कधीही आपणहून फोन करत नाही. आशिमाला याचे खूप दुख होते. पण ती ते फार दाखवत नाही.

आता अशोक ओहायो युनिवर्सिटी मध्ये ६ महिने शिकवायला जाणार असतो. सोनिया पण आता कॉलेज मध्ये असते, त्यामुळे आशिमा एकटीच घरी राहत असते. आशिमाला वाटते की गोगोलने अशोक जाण्यापूर्वी एकदातरी त्यांना भेटायला यावे. हो- नाही करता करता तो येतो आणि त्याचा गर्लफ्रेंडला घेऊन येतो. आशिमाला सगळेच आवडत नाही पण तरी ते सगळे निमुटपणे सहन करते. गोगोल एक दिवस राहून जातो, अशोकला विमानतळावर पोचवायला आशिमा जाते, आणि तीच काय अशोकची शेवटची भेट ठरते. पोटात दुखतंय असा अशोकचा फोन येतो, तो सांगतो की काळजीचे काही कारण मी हॉस्पिटलमधूनच बोलत आहे. डॉक्टर माझ्यावर आता उपचार करतीलच. पण हा फोन शेवटचा ठरतो. अशोकचे तीव्र हृदयविकाराच्या झटक्याने निधन होते. वडील गेल्यावर मात्र गोगोलला खूप दुख होते आणि तो त्यांना काहीच सुख देऊ शकला नाही याबद्दल तीव्र पश्चाताप करतो. त्याचा गर्लफ्रेंडला सोडून देतो.

थोड्या दिवसाने त्याला मौसमी नावाची एक बंगाली मुलगी भेटते. तिच्याबरोबर तो लग्न करतो. सोनियाने पण एका अमेरिकन मुलाबरोबर लग्न करायचे ठरवले असते. अशीमाला काही प्रोब्लेम नसतो. ती म्हणते की जर मुलं खुश आहेत तर मला काही प्रोब्लेम नाही. पुढे गोगोल-मौसामिचे आयुष्य कसे जाते, गोगोलला त्याच्या नावाचे रहस्य कळते का हे बघा "नेमसेक" मध्ये.

सिनेमा ठीक आहे. एक अमेरिकेत आलेल्या भारतीय कुटुंबियांचे जगणे दाखवले आहेत. भारतीय मूल्य सोडता येत नाही, आणि अमेरिकी मूल्य नीट धरता येत नाहीत असे थोडेसे या सिनेमातून दाखवण्याचा दुबळा प्रयत्न केला आहे. सिनेमा एकूण गोष्ट म्हणून चांगला आहे. पण नक्की कश्यासाठी हा सिनेमा काढला हे नीटसे कळले नाही. मीरा नायरने दिग्दर्शित केलेला सिनेमा असल्याने सिनेमा खूप चांगला असेल असे वाटले, पण प्रत्यक्षात सिनेमा ठीक या वर्गात मोडेल.


Ashok Ganguli is born and brought up in Kolkata. Now he is doing his PhD in an American university. He visits India and his parents suggest him to get married. Acording to Indian customs he visits a girl's house meets Asima and marries her. Asima has deep interest in Indian classical music and she is pursuing it as serious hobby. Since her parents decide her marriage she happily marries Ashok. They move back to US. Asok is very caring husband and he takes care of her very well. Very soon they have their first boy child. The hospital staff asks for a name immediately. They are not really ready for this. They were planning to make the horoscope of the boy and get the first letter of the name form it and then decide on the name. But in the hospital they will not get discharge till they decide the name, so Ashok just suggests a name Gogol. Soon they get a girl and this time they are ready with name, so she is named Sonia. Later on they name Gogol as Nikhil but that is not changed in the papers, so Gogol remains his name.

At the time of school enrollment Asima tells his name as Nikhil but young Gogol insists that it should be Gogol itself. So again in the school the same name sticks him. Initially he is happy with the name but as he grows old and enters middle school he starts feeling uncomfortable for two reasons, first it is bit unusual and another is other kids tease him on that. He asks his parents why they named him like that, but his parents do not have a real reason to him. By the time he enters high school, he starts hating his own name. His parents tell him that they tried to keep his name Nikhil at the time of school enrollment but how he insisted on Gogol that time. He learns in the high school about a renowned Russian author Nicolai Gogol and since his father liked the author that name came to his mind at the time in the hospital. Gogol was renowned author but he is also know for his whimsical character. So his classmates continue to tease him.

He finishes high school and goes a University in different city. He takes this opportunity and changes his name to Nikhil aka Nick. His life changes and he gets reed of his past and the name stuck to him for years. He gets a girlfriend called Maxim and starts to enjoy life. Slowly he starts to avoid his family. He spends more time with Maxim's parents. He is never at home with Asima calls and never calls her up. Asima is disturbed and unhappy but never shows that.

Around this time Ashok gets an opportunity to teach in Ohio university for a semester as sabbatical. Since Asima has her job as librarian she decides to stay back and only Ashok is supposed to go there. Sonali is already married to a American guy and not with her. Asima wishes that Gogol should come and spend some time with her and Ashok before he leaves for Ohio. Finally Gogol visits them along with his girl friend. She is not really happy with this kind of relationships, but she accepts it all without resentment. Gogol spend some time with them and leaves even before Ashok is supposed to leave. Asima alone has to see Ashok off at the airport. That happens to be their last time spent together. In a few days Ashok calls her form Ohio and tells her that he has some pain in the stomach and is in the hospital. He dies with heart attack within few hours. The phone conservation between Ashok and Asima was the last one they had. At this point Gogol is shocked
and really sad. He feels he could not make his dad happy at all. He leaves his girlfriend and spends some time with his mother.

He reconnects his childhood friend Mausami. She has changed a lot over years. Gogol marries Mausami and since Sonali is already married and leading a good life and Gogol is into a decent job, Asima decides to come back to India. What happens next in the lives of Gogol and Asima needs to be watched in the movie Namesake. It also opens up the secret behind the name Gogol.

The movie is good. A non resident Indian family's life in US. The emotional stress. Their attempt to balance between the Indian morals & values and the American lifestyle and culture. The storyline and the plot seems good, but does not take complete grip over audience. Not as good as most of the Meera Nair movies. Not a must watch but can watch category. This movie is based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri

मातीच्या चुली (Matichya chuli)

श्रीपाद दांडेकर आणि सुनंदा दांडेकर व त्यांचा मुलगा विशाल दांडेकर यांचे एक त्रिकोणी कुटुंब. विशाल आता लग्नाच्या वयाचा झालेला. त्यात विशाल पूजा भोसलेच्या प्रेमात पडतो. विशालला मोठा प्रश्न पडतो की आईला कसे सांगायचे, त्याला पुजाशी लग्न करायचे आहे. त्यात त्याला साथ देतात त्याचे वडील श्रीपाद दांडेकर. पूजा भोसले म्हणजे मराठा आणि दांडेकर म्हणजे ब्राह्मण. आता जात हा एक तर अडसर असतोच. पण वडिलांची साथ असल्याने, आई मुलीच्या वडिलांना भेटायला तयार होते. भोसले मंडळींना भेटल्यावर लग्नाला दांडेकर मंडळी तयार होतात. नवीन नवीन असल्याने, सुनेचे कौतुक सुरु होते. पण जेव्हा सून लग्न करून घरी येते, तेव्हा चित्र पालटायला सुरवात होते. त्यात पूजा एक स्वतंत्र विचाराची, हुशार, धडाडीची मुलगी असते. हिला मोठ्या कंपनीत मॅनेजरची नोकरी असते. त्यामुळे सासू-सुनेचे उगाच छोट्या छोट्या कारणावरून खटके उडू लागतात. विशाल आणि श्रीपाद यांची मधल्या मध्ये पंचाईत होऊ लागते.



श्रीयुत दांडेकर, सुनंदाला समजावण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात, पण तो फोल ठरतो. त्यात विशाल आणि पूजाचे एकदा भांडण होते. पूजा त्याला सोडून ऑफिसला निघून जाते, नंतर विशालला त्याची चूक कळते व तो तिला गाठण्यासाठी म्हणून जोरात बाईक हाणतो, आणि अपघात होऊन हॉस्पिटल मध्ये दाखल होतो. आता विशाल बेशुध्द पडल्यावर, सासू-सुनेचे जरा पटू लागते. श्रीपाद दांडेकरांना वाटते की आता तरी घरातील संबध सुधारतील, पण नाही थोड्या दिवसातच "पहिले पाढे पंचावन्न" सारखी गत होते. घरात सारखे एक टेन्शन असते. त्यातूनच का काय, विशाल आणि पूजा जे काही ठरवतात, त्यांची खबर सुनंदा आणि श्रीपाद यांना बाहेरील लोकांकडून कळतात. शेवटी एका क्षणी ही दोन्ही जोडपी वेगवेगळे राहण्याचे ठरवतात. आता या वेगळ राहण्यात "सोय" असते की एकमेकांबद्दल असलेली "कुरबुर" त्यांना दूर करते, श्रीपाद आणि सुनंदा, वेगळे झाल्यावर कसे आयुष्य जगतात. हे बघा "मातीच्या चुली" या सिनेमामध्ये.



सिनेमा उत्तमच आहे. हलकाफुलका सिनेमा आहे. जरी अगदी सामान्य विषयाभोवती हा सिनेमा गुंफला असला तरी, विषयाची मांडणी, त्यातील नात्यामधील संबध अगदी सुंदर रीतीने गोवले आहे. काही काही संवाद तर खूपच सुंदर आहेत. वंदना गुप्ते आणि सुधीर जोशी यांचा भूमिकेला तर तोडच नाही. मधुरा वेलणकर आणि अंकुश चौधरी पण त्यांच्या भूमिकेत उत्तम. हा सिनेमा सुधीर जोशींचा शेवटचा सिनेमा आहे. या सिनेमाचे शुटींग सुरु असतानाच त्यांना देवाज्ञा झाली, त्यामुळे या सिनेमात मधून मधून "श्रीपाद दांडेकर ", म्हणून आनंद अभ्यंकर येतात. आणि त्यामुळेच का काय या सिनेमात निवेदक ठेवून सिनेमातील कलाकारांची बदल सांधण्याचा चांगला प्रयत्न केला आहे. सिनेमा बघावा असा आहे, संपूर्ण कुटुंबाला एकत्र बघण्यासारखा सिनेमा निश्चित आहे.

Vishal Dandekar and his parents Shreepad Dandekar and Sunanda Dandekar are a small happy family. Vishal is working as executive and is planning to get married. He is in love with Pooja Bhosale also a executive in another company. Vishal is in dilemma how to convey this to his parents, specially his mother. His dad helps him in this. The reason for his dilemma was the cast, Dandekars are Brahmin and Bhosles are Maratha. But on Shreepad's request Sunanda decides to meet Bhosale family. And on meeting them Sunanda agrees for the marriage and the marriage take place making everyone happy.



The newly wedded couple is enjoying the honeymoon phase of the life. Slowly things are settling to normal. Initially the new Daughter-in-law is pampered by all. Pooja is a bright, dashing and independent lady. She is already a manager in a good company. Slowly there are small issues arising between Sunanda and Pooja, The usual daughter-in-law and mother-in-law type issues. Vishal and Shripad are scape goats in between sometimes. They do now know how to deal with this situations.



Shreepad tries to explain Sunanda that she needs to deal with Pooja tactfully and needs to understand the generation gap and accept certain things. But Sunanda is not that understanding lady. During this phase, Vishal and Pooja have some minor misunderstanding and fight. But Vishal realises his mistake very soon and tries to catch up Poojs who has left for the office on his bike. He meets with an accident and lands up in hospital. To take care of him, Pooja and Sunanda come together and start taking care of Vishal. Everyone hopes that the relations are improving now, but once Vishal is well and starts going to office, things roll back to normal.



With lot of thinking Vishal and Pooja take some decisions and Sunanda and Shripad get to hear them from others rather than their own son. This causes lot of tension between them and finally they decide to live seperately rather than to have tense moments every day. Now this separation is really for convenience or due to in fights, how are Sunanda and Sripad leading their life after this separation, is all depicted very powerfully in the movie Matichya Chooli.



The storyline of the movie is very nice. The subject of this movie is really an everyday one but handled powerfully. It has also suggested some interesting solutions to everyday problems in life. Vandana Gupte and Sudhir Joshi are too good. Madhura Velankar and Ankush Chaudhari are good too. Sanjay Mone has a short but nice role. Unfortunately Sudhi Joshi passed away while the movie was half way through. That makes this his last movie. Abhyankar has played his remaining role to complete the movie. This confused the spectators sometimes, due to change of person in Shripad Dandekar's role. The movie is really good and a recommended one with family.

नवरा माझा नवसाचा (Navra maza navsacha)

भक्ती आणि वक्रतुंड यांचे एकमेकांवर खूप प्रेम असते. वक्रतुंड चांगला कलाकार असतो. भक्ती आणि वक्रतुंड यांचे एकमेकांवर खूप प्रेम असते. वक्रतुंड चांगला पेंटर / कलाकार असतो. भक्ती टेलिफोन ऑपरेटर असते. या दोघांचे लग्न भक्तीच्या आई वडिलांच्या इच्छेविरुध्ध झालेले असते. वक्रतुण्डाचे आई-वडिलांचे छात्र त्याच्या लहानपणीच हरवलेले असते. वक्रतुंड उर्फ वॅकी जरी खुप चांगला आर्टीस्ट असला, तरी त्याला म्हणावे तसे यश मिळालेले नसते, त्यामुळे घरात पैश्यांची तशी चणचणच असते. लग्न होऊन १० वर्ष झालेली असून देखील ह्यांना मुल झालेले नसते. आणि जोवर सेटल होत नाही तोवर मुल होऊ द्यायचे नाही असे वाकीने ठरवलेले असते.

भक्ती, नावाप्रमाणेच देवावर भक्ती करणारी असते. खूप देवभोळी असते, त्यामुळे ती सारखी देवळात जाऊन नवस बोलत असते. पण तिचा कुठलाही नवस पूर्ण होतच नाही. असेच एक दिवस भक्ती देवळातून दर्शन घेऊन परत येताना तिला वक्रतुंडाची आत्या भेटते. आत्याला घरी घेऊन येते आणि मग तिला समजते, कि वकी हा नवसाने झालेला मुलगा आहे. वॅकीच्या वडिलांनी, मुल जगात नाहीत म्हणून गणपतीपुळ्याच्या गणपतीला नवस बोलला असतो, कि जर हे मुल जगले तर त्याला "नागडा" करून तुझे दर्शन घेईन. त्यातून दुर्दैव असे कि नवस फेडण्याआधीच आई-वडील स्वर्गवासी झालेले असतात. त्यामुळे फेडल्या न गेल्याने वकीला म्हणावे तसे यश मिळत नाहीये. पण हा नवस फेडणे जरा कठीण असते, कारण नवसच तसा कठीण असतो. बर आता हा नवस कसा फेडावा याच्या विचारात भक्ती असते. ती वॅकीला सांगते कि तुला हा नवस फेडावा लागेल तरच तुला यश मिळेल. पण असा विचित्र नवस फेडणार तरी कसा, वॅकी त्याला सरळ नकार देतो.



आता नवस फेडता येणार नसल्याने, भक्ती उदास व त्याचबरोबर वॅकी वर चिडलेली असते. वॅकीला त्याचा खूप जवळचा मित्र किशोर भेटतो. तो त्याला सल्ला देतो कि आपण एका बाबाकडे जाऊ, तो तुला यावर उपाय सांगेल. आणि हा साधू बाबा किशोरचा एक मित्र असतो, जो वेश बदलून साधू बाबा बनतो. या ढोंगी साधुबाबाच्या सल्ल्यानुसार एक पुतळा करून देवळात न्यायचा आणि त्याचे कपडे काढायचे म्हणजे नवस पूर्ण होईल. हा पुतळा गुप्ततेने न्यायला हरकत नाही. पण फक्त चारचौघातून न नेता सगळ्या लोकांसामोरून, गुप्ततेने न्यायचा अशी अट घालतो.



आता हा पुतळा कसा नेणार, असा प्रश्न या दोघांना पडतो. त्यात किशोर असे सुचवतो, कि पुतळा आदल्या दिवशीच गणपतीपुळ्याच्या गाडीत नेवून ठेवायचा आणि मग दुसऱ्या दिवशी तीच बस पकडून पुढे जायचे. आता यांचे असे दुर्दैव असते, कि नेमकी तीच बस दुरुस्ती साठी जाते, आणि त्या बस च्या बदल्यात दुसरी बस पाठवण्याचे ठरते. पण दुसरी बस येण्याच्या आधीच हि बस दुरुस्त होऊन येते व या दोघांचा जीव भांड्यात पडतो. आणि मग भक्ती आणि वॅकीचा गणपतीपुळ्याचा प्रवास सुरु होतो. त्याच प्रवासाबरोबर सुरु होते मस्त धमाल. हि धमाल तुम्ही सिनेमा बघून अनुभवण्यासारखी आहे. शेवटी वॅकी नवस फेडू शकतो का ? तो खरच विवस्त्र होतो कि पुतळ्याला विवस्त्र करून नवस फेडल्या जातो.. हे बघा "नवरा माझा नवसाचा" मध्ये.



सिनेमा खूपच धमाल विनोदी आहे. निर्मिती सावंत अगदी थोड्या मिनिटासाठी येते, पण खूप छान विनोद करून जाते. अशोक सराफचा लालू तर मस्तच. बस मधील सगळी लोक, त्यांच्यातील विनोद सगळे सगळे उत्तम. सचिन आणि सुप्रिया हे दोघेही मस्तच आहेत. दोघांच्या भूमिका, त्यांचे एकमेकांबरोबर असलेले ट्युनिंग खूपच छान आहे. अगदी "नवस फेडणे" हा जरी वादाचा किंवा श्रद्धेचा मुद्दा असला तरी, मनापासून, खळखळुन हसायचे असेल तर सिनेमा जरून बघा. अगदी लहानथोर सगळ्यांनी एकत्र बघण्यासारखा सिनेमा नक्कीच आहे.

सिनेमात सोनू निगम व त्याचे गाणे जरी उगीचच घातले आहे असे वाटत असले, तरी गाणं श्रवणीय असल्याने, हे गाणं उगीच आहे याकडे दुर्लक्ष करू शकतो. तुमच्या प्रतिक्रिया जरून लिहा.



Bhakti and Vaky (Vakratunda) are a very happy couple. They love each other very much. Vaky is a good artist, and Bhakti works as a telephone operator. They have married against the wish of Bhakti's parents and so parents have snapped ties with Bhakti. Vaky's has lost his parents in the childhood itself. Though Vaky is a good artist, he is still not established himself. Since the home is run by Bhakti alone, they are always short of money. Vaky is clear in his mind that they are not ready to raise children, till he establishes himself.



Bhakti is very much devotee of gods. She is always committing Navas to different gods, but none of her wishes are coming true. Once by chance while returning from a temple she meets Vaky's aunt, and she narrates the story behind Vaky's birth and why he got his name. None of Vaky's siblings were surviving, so his dad commits a Navas that he will get his child naked to the temple if it survives, and unfortunately after Vaky's birth, before his father could take him to temple, he passed away. The Navas is not fulfilled. Bhakti decided to fulfill this Navas and tried convincing Vaky to do all that is required. Hearing this strange requirement, Vaky flatly refuses it.


Bhakti is sad thinking till Navas is fulfilled, their life is not going to be happy and Vaky is angry over the request. Vaky's friend Kishore suggests a way out. They decide to make one of Kishor's friend a "Baba" and convince Bhakti. So finally they convince her that the way out of this situation is to carry a real size statue to the temple and remove its cloths there. It should be carried with public transport, though it might be hidden somewhere.


They get the statue made and hide it in the bus which is supposed to go to Ganpatipule the next day. There are some tense moments like the bus does not start the next morning and is sent to garage, a replacement bus is sent, but before the replacement bus could start the journey, the original bus comes. Most interesting part of the movie is the travel to Ganpatipule with the hidden statue and the interesting co passengers they have with them. The climax of whether the Navas is fulfilled or not needs to be watched in the movie "Navara maza Navasacha".


Ashok Saraf is bus conductor named Lalu and the Driver is called Prasad. Nirmiti Saswant is good as guest artist. Sachin and Supriya and very good as always. Short appearance of Sonu Nigam and song is pleasant surprise in Marathi movie. A must watch and with whole family.

अकीला अँड द बी (Akeelah and the bee)

अकिला हे ११ वर्ष्याची मुलगी थोडी एकलकोंडी असते. तिला फक्त एकच मैत्रीण असते. शाळेतील बाकीची मुलं तिला आवडत नसतात. तिला तिच्या शाळेबद्दल देखील काहीच प्रेम नसते. आई जबरदस्ती करून शाळेत पाठवते त्यामुळे हि शाळेत जाते. अकिलाचे वडील थोड्या दिवसापूर्वीच स्वर्गवासी झालेले असतात. हिचा आपल्या वडिलांवर खूप जीव असतो. हिचा मोठा भाऊ एयर फोर्स मध्ये पायलट म्हणून शिक्षण घेत असतो, तर मधला भाऊ उडानटप्पूपणा करत असतो.

अकिला शाळेत चांगले मार्क मिळवत असते. हिला विशेषता प्रत्येक शब्दाचे स्पेलिंग करण्याची विशेष आवड असते. तिला खूप मोठे मोठे शब्द व्यवस्थित अर्थासकट व स्पेलिंग सकट पाठ असतात. तर स्पेलिंग करण्याची एक स्पर्धा असते, त्यात जर अकिलाच्या शाळेतून कोणी ५ नंबरच्या आत आले तर शाळेला खूप पैसे मिळणार असतात. या पैश्याची शाळेला खूपच मदत होणार असते. त्यामुळे शाळेचे मुख्याधापक अकिलाला या स्पर्धेत भाग घ्यायला सांगतात. पण अकिलाची अजिबात इच्छा नसते. कारण हि हुशार आहे असे सगळी मुलं तिला चिडवत असतात, आणि त्याचा तिला खूप त्रास होत असतो.

पण दबावाखाली येऊन ती स्पर्धेत भाग घ्यायला होकार देते. हिला शिकवण्यासाठी म्हणून प्रिन्सिपल डॉ. लाराबी नावाच्या एका स्पेलिंग एक्स्पर्टला नेमतात. पण अकिला आणि लाराबी यांच्या मध्ये काही मतभेद होतात आणि त्यामुळे अकीला त्यांच्याकडे जाण्याचे टाळते. ती स्वतच अभ्यास करून स्पर्धेत ५ च्या आत नंबर मिळवते. पण ती स्पर्धा बघितल्यावर तिला कळते कि कोचिंगची गरज आहे. कारण हि जी ५ मुलं असतात ती यापुढे संपूर्ण अमेरिकेत होणार्या स्पर्धेत भाग घेणार असतात. त्यामुळे ती लाराबी कडे जाते व शिकवण्याची विनंती करते. शेवटी अकीलाला लाराबी शिकवतात का, ती स्पर्धेत किती पुढे जाते, तिला कोण कोण भेटतात, घरी तिच्या स्पर्धेतील सहभागाबद्दल काय मत असते, हे बघा "अकीला अंड द बी" मध्ये.

Akeelah is young school going girl of 11 years. She is studying in small school in suburban Los Angles. She is from a poor family. Her father has passed away few years back. She has a Older brother who is a US mariner. Elder sister is single mother and is staying with her. She has one more older brother who is not studying and spends time with a gang. Her mother is working as a Nurse in an hospital to manage the family of five.

Akeelah is not very happy with her school. She is doing alright in the school, but needs to take up summer school to catch up. She has a very good knack of memorizing spellings, and is invited to participate in the school level Spelling Bee competition. If she wins in the school competition and then gets top places in regional Spelling Bee, the school with get some grants and the teacher promised her that she will be relived from the summer school business. With all this in mind, she decides to give it a shot, and easily wins the school competition.

Dr. Larabee who just visits the school while the competition is on, tests her abilities and is impressed with her. He offers to help her prepare for the next level. Dr. Larabee is a strict professor and Akeelah is not able to understand his systems. Finally she quits the coaching and decides to give it shot on her own. She manages to sneak through to the top five in the regional but realizes, if she has to compete further she needs some good training. In the competition she also makes a friend Javier. He has taken part in the competition the previous year and gives her a lot of information about the competition ahead.

Does Akeelah goes back to Dr. Larabee, is she able to make it to next lever and national championship ? Does her mother support her ? needs to be seen in the movie.

This is one of those must watch kind of motivational movie and specially children would really enjoy it.

रमाबाई शिरोडकर या खुप मोठ्या गायिका असतात. त्यांची मुलगी सानिका व अजुन एक विद्यार्थिनी राधा या दोघी रमाबाईकड़े संगीताचे शिक्षण घेत असतात. सानिका खुप सुन्दर गाते कारण घरात सतत सुरु असलेला अभ्यास तिच्या कानावर पडत असतोच आणि तिचा स्वताचा आवाज गोड असतो. रमाबाईला सानिकाची खुप जास्त स्तुती केलीली आवडत नाही. त्यांच्या मते लहानपणी खूप जास्त स्तुती केली तर चांगले नसते आणि सानिकाला अजून खूप रियाझ करण्याची गरज आहे.



सानिकाचे वडील वनस्पतीशात्रातील मोठे प्राध्यापक असतात. ते रमाबाईला समजावतात कि तू सानिकाबरोबर खूप कडक शिस्तीमध्ये वागतेस त्यामुळे सानिकाला त्याचा त्रास होतो. सानिकाने गाणी म्हटली कि सगळे लोक म्हणतात, कि रमाबाईची मुलगी आहे चांगल म्हणणारच. आणि गाणं नीट जमले नाही कि म्हणतात कि रमाबाईची मुलगी असून गाणं जमत नाहीये. या सारख्या होत असलेल्या "comparison" मुळे सानिकाला एक प्रकारचा तिटकारा येतो.



त्यामुळे तिला आई बरोबर स्पर्धा करण्याची व आई पेक्षा काहीतरी वेगळं करावे असे सतत वाटू लागते. त्या भरात ती घर सोडून एक Orchestra ग्रुपला सामील होते. व त्यांच्या बरोबर गाणं म्हणू लागते. आई व वडील दोघांना पण त्याचा खूप त्रास होतो. पण दोघेही मनाची समजूत घालतात, कि आता सानिका मोठी झाली आहे व स्वताचे बरं-वाईट तिला समजत. सानिका व विकी हे दोघे एक CD काढतात, पण त्याची काही खास विक्री होत नाही. व त्यामुळे हे खचून जातात. शेवटी सानिकाला काहीतरी वेगळे करण्यात यश मिळते का, तिचा तिच्या आईबद्दलचा ग्रह बदलतो का हे बघा "सावली" मध्ये.



सिनेमा सुंदर आहे. त्यातील गाणी तर अप्रतिम आहेत. सगळे कसलेले कलाकार आहेत त्यामुळे सिनेमा उत्तमच झाला आहे. एखाद्या मोठ्या व्यक्तीच्या पोटी जन्माला येण्याचे जसे फायदे तसेच तोटे देखील असू शकतात. सावलीत वाढण्यारा रोपाला किती मानसिक ताण सहन करावा लागत असेल हे यातून दिसते. पण सानिकाला असे सारखे का वाटत असते कि सानिकाची आणि तिच्या आईची स्पर्धा आहे हे मला नीटसे समजले नाही. कदाचित बालवयापासून सारखी आईसारखी तू आहेस असे सांगितल्यामुळे तिला त्रास होतो, असे वाटते.




सिनेमा बघण्यासारखा निश्चित आहे. सिनेमाचा शेवट देखील चांगला आणि वेगळा केला आहे. जरूर बघा. तुमच्या प्रतिक्रिया निश्चित कळवा.




Sanika is daughter of famous classical singer Ramabai Shorodkar. Sanika is undergoing music training with her mother along with another student Radha. Sanika has inherited talent for singing from he mother. Her father is a Botany professor in a college. Ramabai did not like anyone praising Sanika and feels she needs to work hard and earn her due credit.



Sanika develops hate for being compared with her mother or taken for granted as Ramabai's daughter. Whenever she does well, she gets to hear "After all she is Ramabai's daughter", and whenever it is not up to the mark, she will get to hear "she should do better, she is Ramabai's daughter". As she grows into a young lady, this hate and tension within the mother and daughter becomes unbearable to her and at a spur of a moment, she quits her home and joins an orchestra group.



Viki the group leader of the orchestra is a creative musician and is trying to establish in the industry. Sanika and Viki put in lot of efforts and bring out an music album, but unfortunately it does not fetch them good response or money. What happens next is better watched in the movie.




The movie is really good and worth watching. The songs by Swapnil Bandodkar are really good. It seems to be one of his early works. All the actors are good and in general the story is depicted really well, in Goa. The initially unsaid and then openly expressed tension between the two is picturized well. The characters are very well suited.
