सतीश आणि ज्योती हे दोघे एकाच कॉलेज मध्ये असतात व दोघांचे एकमेकांवर प्रेम होते. ज्योतीचे वडील डेप्युटी कलेक्टर म्हणून नोकरी करत असतात. ज्योतीच्या वडिलांना हे लग्न मान्य नसते. ज्योती पळून जाऊन लग्न करते. या दोघांना जीवाला जीव देणारे काही मित्र देखील असतात. सतीशचे खूप मोठे होण्याचे स्वप्न असते. त्याप्रमाणे तो एक मोठा कारखाना काढण्याच्या गडबडीत असतो.

लग्न झाल्यावर ज्योती आणि सतीश मुंबईला राहायला येतात. तेथे एक घर भाड्याने घेतात. घरमालक खूपच चांगले असतात. सतीशची कारखान्याची धडपड सुरु असते, त्यामुळे संसाराला हातभार लागावा म्हणून ज्योती नोकरी करू लागते. त्यानंतर दोघांच्या वेळा अगदीच जुळत नाहीत त्यामुळे जेव्हा ज्योती ऑफिसला जाणार, तेव्हा सतीश झोपलेला, तर सतीश घरी येणार तेव्हा ज्योती झोपलेली असे चित्र दिसू लागते.


जसे जसे सतीशला कर्ज मिळू लागते, तसा तो घरातील बहुतेक वस्तू क्रेडीट कार्डावर विकत घेतो. ज्योतीला या सगळ्या गोष्टीची भीती वाटत असते. तिचे म्हणणे असते, कि या घरात आपले स्वताचे असे काहीच नाहीये, सगळे उधारीवर आहे आणि हे चांगले नाही. सतीशच्या मते हळूहळू सगळे पैसे फिटणार आहेत त्यामुळे काळजीचे कारण नाही. त्यातच सतीशला खूप मोठी ऑर्डर मिळते. सतीशला सगळ्या गोष्टी वेगाने करायच्या असतात, आणि याच गोष्टीला ज्योतीचा विरोध असतो. हे सगळे मतभेद होत असतानाच, अचानक सतीशला मिळालेली मोठी ऑर्डर, सगळा माल बनवून झाल्यावर कॅन्सल होते. त्यामुळे सतीशने घेतलेले सगळे कर्ज त्याच्या डोक्यावर पडते. सतीशला काय करावे ते समाजत नाही. सतीश प्रयत्नाची शिकस्त करतो. तरी त्याला सगळी कडूनच अपयश येते. या सगळ्या तणावामुळे, ज्योती आणि सतीश यांच्या मधील संवादाचे धागे देखील कच्चे होऊ लागतात. शेवटी सतीश त्याच्या कर्जातून बाहेर पडतो का, ज्यो या सगळ्या गोष्टीबद्दल काय निर्णय घेते हे बघा "दिवसेंदिवस" मध्ये.


सिनेमा एक गोष्ट म्हणून बघायचा असेल तर चांगला आहे. पण या सिनेमामध्ये त्यांना नक्की काय सांगायचे आहे हे नीटसे समजले नाही. कुठली गोष्ट करताना फार घाई न करता, हळूहळू करा असा सल्ला द्यायचा आहे का हे समजत नाही. अरुण नलावडेचे कॅरेक्टर मस्त आहे. सगळ्यात जवळचे वाटते. मोहन जोशी नेहमीप्रमाणेच छान. अदिती सारंगधर व सुनील बर्वे दोघेही आपापली भूमिका उत्तम रित्या पार पाडतात. सिनेमात एकाच गाणं आहे पण ते खूप छान आहे. सिनेमा बघावाच असे काही नाही, दुसरे काही करण्यासारखे नसले, तर बघावा. फार वेळ वाया गेला असे वाटणार नाही.


Satish and Jyotsna (Jo) are college friends in Pune. They have a close group of friends too. Jo's father is a government officer. When Jo introduces Satish to her father, he is not happy with Satish as a prospective son-in-law. Satish and Jo get married with help of their friends and decide to settle in Mumbai. Satish is very ambitious and hard working. But he is in a hurry to settle in Business and get rich. He is always thinking about business, loans, finances etc.

As days proceed, Satish is getting established in business. Jo is enjoying her job and though Satish want's her to be at home, want to continue her job. SHe is worried about Satish's speed. He gets credit cards and gets lot of household items on loan. He also buys a car on loan. His business is doing well, and he bags a major order from a big company to supply spare parts for their manufacturing facility.



At the time of delivery of the large order, that gets canceled due to cancellation of the order for the big manufacturer. Satish is broke, and decides to contest a court case to get his money from the big company. In the meantime, his loan installments are not paid on time and one by one banks are approaching for recovery. When unable to pay, he has to do away with the items including the car. To save his company from bankruptcy, he tries to bribe a bank officer and get caught in an ugly crime in the process.

Loosing faith in him, Jo decides to go back to her father, and the drama in the story begins. The divorce case filed by Jo's father and Satish's own company court case. Few unexpected twists and turns added to the story to make in a movie.



In general the movis has a weak message about credit handling and is in the category of may watch but not a must type. Lead roles by Sunil Barve and Aditi Sarangdhar are good. Supporting actors like Mohan Joshi and Arun Nalavade are good too.

बयो (Bayo)

"बयो" एका हरवलेल्या प्रेमाचे स्मरण...

ही आहे स्वातंत्रपूर्व काळातील एक दुखद प्रेमकथा. रावी आणि प्रसाद भारत सोडून इंग्लंडमध्ये दुतावासात नोकरीच्या निमित्यांने येतात. प्रसाद नोकरीमध्ये व नवनवीन गोष्टीमध्ये खूपच व्यस्त होतो आणि रावी खूपच एकटी पडते. तिच्या असे लक्षात येते कि याच घरात कोणा विश्वनाथला बयो नावाची स्त्री पत्र पाठवते आहे. पत्रामध्ये बयोच्या गावातील, तिच्या जीवनातील प्रत्येक गोष्ट अगदी विस्तारून लिहिली आहे. सगळी पत्र अगदी मनाला भिडणारी असतात. रावी विश्वनाथाबद्दल दुतावासात चौकशी करते पण काहीच पत्ता लागत नाही. तिला समजत नाही कि "बयो" ला कसे कळवावे कि तुझी पत्रे विश्वनाथला पोचत नाहीयेत. ती सगळी पत्र क्रमवार लावून वाचून काढते. त्यात "बयो" च्या जीवनाचा सगळा पट उभा राहतो. त्याच दरम्यान तिच्या नवऱ्याची भारतात बदली होते. ते परत जातात तेव्हा रावी "बयो" ला जाऊन भेटते. तिला काही न लागलेले संदर्भ समजतात.

बयो हि एक मुस्लीम मुलगी असते. तिचे वडील स्वातंत्र सैनिक असतात. जेव्हा ब्रिटीश सैनिक त्यांच्यामागे लागतात, तेव्हा ते आपल्या मुलीला एका ब्राह्मण शिक्षकाकडे (अप्पा) सुपूर्द करतात. अप्पांनी लग्न केलेले नसते. ते एका अनाथ मुलाला वाढवत असतात. त्याप्रमाणे ते बयोला पण स्वताच्या मुलीप्रमाणे वाढवतात. हा अनाथ मुलगा म्हणजे विश्वनाथ. आता या दोघांचे प्रेम कसे होते, त्यांची ताटातूट का होते आणि पुढे विश्वनाथ व बयो दोघे भेटतात का हे जाणून घेण्यासाठी बघा "बयो" !!!

सिनेमा अत्यंत सुंदर आहे. जरूर बघावा. सगळ्या कलाकारांनी खूपच छान काम केले आहे. सिनेमातील गाणी ठीक आहेत. शास्त्रीय संगीताचे छोटे छोटे तुकडे अतिशय श्रवणीय आहेत.

This is a sad love story in the early 1940s. Start of the story shows us a character "Bayo", who is writing letters to "Vishwanath". Apparently "Vishwanath" is not staying in the house where letter are going. Raavi and her husband Prasad, are staying in the house. Raavi is a sensitive writer. And is not doing anything as they are in England. Finally Raavi opens all the letters and reads them chronologically. After reading the letters Raavi understands, that "Bayo" is waiting endlessly for Vishwanath. And there must be a heartbroken story behind it. She becomes hysterical and sensitive about the character "Bayo" and decides to meet her when Ravi's husband was transferred back to India. When Raavi meets Bayo, the real life story of "Bayo" comes in front of us.

Bayo is a muslim girl, whose father is freedom fighter. His father requests a Brahmin Teacher to take care of his daughter. This teacher is not married and he has given shelter to "Vishwanath" And that is how the love story starts.

It is a very good movie. A must watch.
