दृश्यम (Drushyam)

विजय साळगावकर हा चौथी पास असून याचा व्यवसाय केबल ऑपरेटरचा असतो. याला सिनेमा बघण्याची खूपच आवड असते. त्याला इतकी पराकोटीची आवड असते, कि घरून आलेला फोन देखील हा मनुष्य घेत नाही, जेव्हा सिनेमा बघत ऑफिस मध्ये बघत बसतो. जरी हा चौथी पास झालेला असला तरी तसा तो खूप हुशार, आणि व्यवहारज्ञान असलेला मनुष्य असतो. आणि घरातील सगळ्या माणसांवर खूप प्रेम करत असतो. घरात दोन मुली आणि बायको इतकेच लोक असतात.

मोठी मुलगी कॉलेजमध्ये असते. आणि लहान मुलगी शाळेत जाणारी असते. विजय साळगावकरचे सासर पणजीला असते. मार्टिन नावाचा एक हॉटेल मालक हा विजय साळगावकरचा खूप चांगला मित्र असतो. या हॉटेल समोरच पोलिस स्टेशन असते. त्या पोलिस स्टेशन मधला सब-इंस्पेक्टर गायतोंडे हा खूप वाईट काम करत असतो, लोकांना उगीचच त्रास देणे, त्यांच्या कडून पैसे उकळणे, अशी काम करण्यामुळे विजयला गायतोंडे बद्दल अजिबात आदर नसतो. त्यामुळे जेव्हा जेव्हा मोका मिळेल तेव्हा विजय साळगावकर गायतोंडे ला त्याच्या या वागण्यावरून टोकत असतो. पण विजय हा एक खूप चांगला मनुष्य आहे असे मात्र इतर सगळ्या पोलिस ऑफिसरचे मत असते.

विजयच्या मोठ्या मुलीला अंजूला एकदा एका ट्रीपला जायचे असते, त्यासाठी विजयची बायको खूप आग्रह करून विजयला पटवते आणि अंजूला ट्रीपला पाठवते. त्या ट्रीपमध्ये एक सम नावाचा मुलगा, ट्रीपला आलेल्या मुलींचे फोटो काढत असतो. जेव्हा एका मुलीच्या लक्षात येते, तेव्हा ती सॅमवर खूप ओरडते आणि मग सॅम फोटो काढणे बंद करतो. पण हे सॅम रुपी वादळ अंजूच्या मागे लागते. एकदा अंजू कॉलेज मधून घरी येत असताना सॅम तिला अडवतो, आणि तिला म्हणतो कि मला भेटायला ये, पण अंजू त्याला नकार देते. मग सॅम तिला ब्लॅकमेल करतो आणि तो तिला तिचा ट्रीपला गेला असताना, ती अंघोळ करत असतानाचा व्हिडियो दाखवतो. आणि म्हणतो कि जर तू मला भेटली नाहीस तर हा व्हीडीओ सगळी पाठवला जाईल. हे ऐकून अंजू खूप घाबरते. घरी येते आणि तिला काहीच सुचेनासे होते. तिच्या आईच्या हे लक्षात येते.

अंजू, आईला सगळे सांगते, तोवर सॅम अंजूच्या घरी पोचलेला असतो. आता अंजूची आई सॅमला समजवायला जाते, पण सॅम आता विजय च्या बायकोच्या मागेच लागतो, आईला वाचवण्याच्या झटापटीत सॅमचा मृत्यू होतो.  दोघीही खूप घाबरून जातात, विजयला फोन करतात, पण विजय सिनेमात बघण्यात दंग असतो, तो फोन घेतच नाही.

घरी आल्यावर विजयला घरातील सगळी परिस्थिती कळते, मग ते ठरवतात कि आता आलेल्या परिस्थितीला धैर्याने तोंड द्यायचे. सगळ्या कुटुंबाने एकत्र ह्या संकटाचा सामना करायचा. विजय साळगावकरचे कुटुंब हि आलेली बला परतवून लावू शकतात का हे बघा "दृश्यम" या सिनेमात.

सिनेमा अफलातून आहे. प्रत्येक गोष्ट खूप सुंदर रीतीने मांडली आहे. सॅमच्या मृत्युचे पुरावे लपवणे असू दे, पोलिसांची तपास करण्याची दिशा असू देत, सगळ्या गोष्टी खूप उत्तम रीतीने मांडल्या आहेत. आपण कल्पना करू शकत नाही असे प्रसंग खूप बारकाईने दाखवले आहेत.

सगळ्या गोष्टींचा उलगडा सिनेमाच्या शेवटीच होतो. सिनेमा अक्षरश प्रेक्षकांना जागेवर  खिळवून ठेवतो. सिनेमा अगदी बघावाच असा आहे.


Vijay Salgaonkar is a school dropout and running a Cable Television business. He is a big fan of movies and spends a lot of time watching movies in his office. At times he woulf just remove telephone receiver off the hook, so that his wife does not disturb him while watching movies. Even thought he is a school drop out, he is very sharp and wise person. He just loves his family a lot. He has a small family of wife and two daughters.

His elder daughter is studying in college and younger one is in elementary school. His in laws are in a near bye town. There is a hotel near his office, where he frequents for break fast and tea. The owner Martin is a good friend of VIjay. Opposite the Hotel is the police station, so most of the police too frequent the hotel. One of the sun inspectors Gaitonde is particularly notorious person. He always troubles people around him, and also tries to extract undue advantage of his powers as police person. Vijay being a genuine person hates Gaitonde and on many occasions, tries to correct Gaitonde or stop for wrong doings. All the other police personnel have high respect for Vijay. 

Vijay's elder daughter Anju wants to attend a school educational camp. Vijay was not very keen but the ladies in the house convince him that it will be very useful. In that camp, there was guy called Sam. He was always with his cell phone camera taking pictures of all the girls. Finally one of the girls scolds him for that and he stops that non sense. But after a few days after the camp, Sam meets Anju again and tells her to meet him in a particular location. Anju denies that proposition ans then he shows her a video of her taking shower during the camp. He tells Anju, if she does not comply with what he is telling, the video will be circulated to lot of people on internet. Now Anju is scared and goes home. She is not able to tell this to her mother too. But the mother realizes that something is wrong.

 Finally Anju tells what has been happening since the afternoon. In the meantime Sam reaches Anju's backyard. Anju and her mother try to request him that he shoild not try to trouble or blackmail them, but at this point Sam gets attracted to Anju's mother and before he could touch her, Anju and attacks him and in the event Sam dies on the spot. Both of them scared now try calling Vijay, but as usual he is busy watching movie and is not reachable on phone. 

On reaching home, Vijay knows the whole situation, the family decides to face the situation together with courage. But it really possible to to manage such a situation with four members of the family? Specially with a person like Gaitonde seeking every opportunity to frame them? Watch it in Hindi Movie Drishyam.

This is one of the most interesting movie we have watched in recent times. It is really well done. The situations like hiding the evidences of death of Sam, anticipating course of action that police will take, and preparing the whole family to face it etc. The plot and execution is really done well. A lot of suspense really remains suspense till the end. 

This is certainly a must watch movie, and it is already being remade in several Indian languages from the original Malayalam version.

७ खून माफ (7 khoon maaf)

सुझाना ॲन मारी एका अतिशय श्रीमंत बापाची मुलगी. हिचा मृतदेह पोलिसांना सापडतो आणि ते तिची चौकशी करतात तेव्हा कळते की हिचे पूर्वी ६ पुरुषांबरोबर लग्न झालेले आहे आणि सगळ्यांचा आकस्मिक मृत्यू झाला आहे. आता पोलिसांकडे केस आल्याने, ते तिच्या पूर्वीच्या आयुष्यात नक्की काय झाले ते न समजल्यामुळे, तरीही ६ नवर्यांचा काहीतरी घातपात मृतू झाला आहे असे वाटून तिचा या वेळी नक्की मृत्यू झाला आहे कि नाही याचा शोध घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्याचे ठरवतात. तिच्या मृत्यूचे सगळे पुरावे एका अरुण कुमार नावाच्या फ्लोरेन्सिक एक्सपर्ट कडे जातात. योगायोगाने हा अरुण कुमार सुझानाला लहानपणापासून ओळखत असतो. आता जरी त्याचे लग्न झालेले असले, तरी कोणे एकेकाळी, एका अनभिज्ञ वयात अरुण कुमारला सुझाना बद्दल आकर्षण असते. आता सुझाना मेली यामुळे अर्थात्तच अरुण कुमारला खूप वाईट वाटते. सगळे पुरावे शोधता शोधता त्याला पूर्वीच्या आठवणी येतात आणि खरी गोष्ट सुरु होते.

तर सुझानाचे वडील खूप श्रीमंत असतात. सुझाना लहान असतानाच हिची आई मरण पावते, त्यामुळे वडिलांशिवाय तिला दुसरे जग नसते. ती थोडी मोठी होते तोच तिचे वडील देखील मरण पावतात. आता जो पुरुष दिसेल त्याच्यात ही प्रेम शोधू लागते. हिच्या वडिलांकडे ३ विश्वासू नोकर असतात., गालिब, मॅगी, आणि गुंगाचाचा. गालिब, वडिलांचा पी ए असतो, तर मॅगी घरात सैपाक व इतर कामे बघत असते आणि गुंगा चाचा हा वडिलांच्या तबेल्याची काळजी घेत असतो. गुंगा चाचाने अरुण कुमारला मुलासारखे वाढवले असते. गुंगा चाचा नावाप्रमाणेच मुका असतो.

वडील गेल्यावर, वडिलांच्या ओळखीचा असलेला एक आर्मी ऑफिसर, मेजर एडविन रॉड्रीक्स याच्या बरोबर हिचे लग्न होते. याला अशोकचक्र मिळालेले असते, पण एका युद्धात याचा एक पाय तुटलेला असतो. आणि याने खोटा पाय लावलेला असतो. हा सुझाना बाबत खूप पझेसिव असतो. आणि याला मुल हवे असते, पण सुझानामध्ये काहीच शारीरिक कमी नसते, पण रॉड्रीक्सला हे पटत नाही. आणि त्याच्या स्वतत असलेला कमीपणा त्याला सारखा सतावत असतो. तो हिला मारहाण करतो आणि अचानक रॉड्रीक्सचा मृत्यू होतो. त्याच्या अंतिम संस्कारच्या वेळेस हिचे लक्ष जमशेद सिंग राठोड कडे जाते, हा गीटार वादक असतो, तो हिच्याशी लग्न करतो व म्हणतो कि आता माझे नाव जिमी आहे. सुझानाचे जिमी वर खूप प्रेम असते, पण ह्याला ड्रग्जचे व्यसन असते. सुझाना त्याचे व्यसन सोडवण्याचा खूप प्रयत्न करते पण तो असफल होतो, आणि अचानक त्याचा मृत्यू होतो.

दुखातून बाहेर पडायला म्हणून ही काश्मीरला जाते तिथे तिची ओळख मोहमद नावाच्या एका शायराशी होते. त्याची हळुवार शायरी, हिला भुरळ घालते, ही मोहमदशी लग्न करण्यासाठी धर्मांतरण देखील करते. जरी मोहमदच्या कविता हळुवार असतात, पण त्याचे प्रेम हे खूप हिंसक असते. तो हिला बऱ्यापैकी मारहाण करतो आणि अचानक ह्याचा मृत्यू होतो. सुझानाचे नवरे इतके कसे पटापट मृत्यू पडतात, याच्या मागे काहीतरी नक्कीच काळेबेरे असे किमतलाल नावाच्या इंस्पेक्टरला वाटत असते. पण सुझाना तिच्या सौंदर्याच्या जोरावर किमतलालला नेहमीच मार्गी लावते. आता घोड्यांच्या शर्यतीत हिचा घोडा पहिला येतो आणि मग ही बक्षीस घ्यायला जाते आणि तिथे निकोलाई व्रोन्स्कीच्या प्रेमात पडते.

गुंगाचाचा कडे राहत असलेला अरुण कुमार ह्याच्या शिक्षणाची सगळी जबाबदारी सुझानाने घेतलेली असते. निकोलाई हा रशियन असतो, त्याच्याकडे अरुण कुमारला रशियाच्या एका युनिवर्सिटी मध्ये अडमिशन मिळवून देण्याची गोष्ट करते. सुझानाच्या प्रेमाखातर तो अरुण कुमारला रशियात घेऊन जातो. अचानक अरुण कुमार कळते कि निकोलाईचे लग्न झालेले आहे आणि त्याची रशियात एक बायको देखील आहे. सुझानाला जेव्हा कळते तेव्हा अचानक निकोलाईचा मृत्यू होतो. निकोलाई हा रशियन असल्याने त्याच्या मृत्यूची चौकशी जास्त डिटेल मध्ये होऊ लागते. त्या चौकशी साठी किमतलालचे घरी वारंवार घरी येणे सुरु होते. या चौकशीत सुझाना अडकणार, हे सुझानाला कळते, त्यातून वाचण्यासाठी सुझाना एकदा त्याच्याबरोबर एक रात्र घालवते. किमतलाल मग सारखा सारखा हिच्याकडे येऊ लागतो आणि शेवटी कंटाळून सुझाना त्याच्याशी लग्न करते आणि थोड्याच दिवसात त्याचा मृत्यू होतो.

या सगळ्या प्रकाराला कंटाळून सुझाना शेवटी आत्महत्या करण्याचे ठरवते. ती आत्महत्या करायला एका गाडीच्या समोर जाऊन उभी राहते आणि तिला अपघात होतो. त्या अपघातातून तिला मोधू वाचवतो. याला औषधी वनस्पतीबद्दल खूप माहिती असते. तो खूप चांगला असतो, सुझानाला वाटते की तिला हवा असणारा पुरुष आता तिला मिळाला आहे, आणि ती मोधूशी लग्न करते.. पण थोड्याच दिवसात मोधूचा मृत्यू होतो. आता मात्र तिचा या जगावरील विश्वास उडतो आणि ती स्वत:ला गोळ्या घालून आत्महत्या करते. आता तिच्या मृतदेह आणि त्या बरोबर असलेले पुरावे पोलिसांकडे आलेले असतात, आणि त्याची चौकशी अरुण कुमार करत असतो.

अरुण कुमारला चौकशीत नक्की काय आढळून येते? सुझाना तिच्या नवऱ्याचे खून कश्या प्रकारे करते, हे बघा "७ खून माफ" मध्ये. सिनेमा ठीक आहे. लहान मुलांना घेऊन बघण्यासारखा निश्चित नाही. ३ तास सिनेमा प्रेक्षकांना कंटाळा येऊ देत नाही. पण सिनेमा बघितलाच पाहिजे असा काही नाही. सगळे नवरे, आणि त्यांच्या खुनाचे प्लॉट चांगले रंगवले आहेत. सिनेमाचा शेवट खूपच वेगळा आहे.

Suzana is a daughter of a very rich person. Her dead body is found and the police are trying to investigate the matter. They find out that she was married to six different men at different points in time and all men have died untimely. This makes the case very complicated, they need to find if her death is natural or there is something fishy in this incidence too. So they want to check the reality behind the whole episode. Arun Kumar is the officer in charge of the forensic analysis of this case. A sheer coincidence is this Arun Kumar knows Suzana from his childhood. Now he is happily married, but at young age, he had a crush on her. With the news of Suzana's death Arun Kumar is very sad and while investigating this case he is remembering his olden days spend around and with Suzana.

Suzana's dad was a very rich person. His mother died when Suzana was very young. For her the whole world now is her dad. But she lost her dad before she was twenty. Now she is looking for love in any man she comes in contact with. Her dad had three employees in his home. Galib who is a personal assistant and accountant, Magi is cook and care taker of the home and Gunga Uncle is in charge of the Horse Stable. Gunga has adapted Arun Kumar in very young age. Susana married her fathers friend who was an army officer Major Edwin Rodrigs, conferred with bravery medals. But in the war, he has lost one of his legs and has an artificial one. Rodrigs is very possessive about Suzana. He also has a major inferiority complex of his handicap. He drinks a lot and beats Suzana at times. One day all of a sudden Rodrigs dies. During his last rites Suzana meets Jamshed Sing Rathod a guitarist. They got along well and soon decide to get married. He becomes Jimmy and they are in deep love for some time. But Jimmy has one problem, he is drug addict. Suzana tries to treat him for his addiction, but she fails. And Jimmy too dies soon.

Suzana is in shock after Jimmy's death and decides to travel to Kashmir to change the atmosphere around her. She meets Mohamad in Kashmir who is a poet. His soft poetry really touches Suzana and again she falls for him. She marries him by accepting Islam. Though Mohamad's poetry was very soft and loving, his love making was very violent and aggressive. He likes beating and hitting her. He too dies and now police department starts feeling foul play in all this. Kimmatlal was the officer put on this investigation. He probes the case for several weeks, visits Suzana's home several times for that. Suzana just uses her looks and manages to keep Kimatlal away from real investigations. One of her horse wins a major race in the region and during the felicitation she meets Nickolai.

Nickolai is a Russian and he starts spending lot of time with Suzana. Arun Kumar was young man by this time and Suzana requests him to get Arun admitted in some good Russian university. After Nickolai's marriage with Suzana, he takes Arun Kumar to Russia for his admission. During this time Arun Kumar learns that Nickolai is already maried in Russia with children. He conveys this to Suzana and on Nickolai's return from Russia he too dies. Now him being a foreign citizen, there is a larger trouble for Suzana. Kimatlal is again back for investigations. Kimatlal is now making progress and seems like Suzana would be in big trouble. To manage this situation she sleeps with Kimatlal. Now Kimatlal starts frequenting her place at odd hours, and finally she decides to marry him, to keep herself out of trouble. He too dies of heart attack one night.

Now Suzana is fed up with life and attempts suicide. She jumps in front of a fast car and the car hits her and runs away. But Modhu saves her life by treating her. He is a herbal physician. He is a very loving and caring person and Suzana feels better very soon. During this course she starts feeling that Modhu was the kind of person she was looking for, all her life. She marries Modhu now, but unfortunately he dies in few weeks. Now she shoots herself and her body with all the evidences are in front of Arun Kumar. He is the forensic expert the police department is relying on now to know the truth behind her life.

What did Arun Kumar find in his investigations? Does she really kill her husbands and if yes how does she manages all this? Watch "Saat Khun Maf" for that. Do not watch this with kids. This is not really a must watch type movie, but enjoyable with interesting story line, plot and script. The movie ends with a bit of surprise.

द सिक्थ सेन्स (The Sixth Sense)

 माल्कम क्रोवे हा एक मानसोपचारतज्ञ असतो. याचे मुख्य काम मुलांना मानसिक तणावातून मुक्त करणे हे असते. तो चांगलाच नावाजलेला डॉक्टर असतो. त्याला मेयर कडून एक खूप सन्माननीय बक्षीस मिळालेले असते. त्याची बायको अना, आणि माल्कम बक्षीस मिळाल्याचा आनंद साजरा करत असतात. तितक्यात त्यांना त्याच्या घराच्या खिडकीची काच फुटलेली दिसते. कोण घरात घुसलाय याचा ते शोध घेत असतात, तितक्यात त्यांना माल्कमचा एक जुना पेशंट दिसतो तो माल्कम वर खूप रागावतो आणि त्या रागाच्या भरात तो गोळी झाडतो.

त्यानंतर मग माल्कमच्या दुसरा पेशंट गोष्ट सुरु होते. या वेळेस माल्कम हा एका ९ वर्षाच्या मुलाबरोबर "कोल" बरोबर काम करतो. या मुलाला दिवसा-उजेडी अर्थात २४ तास मृत लोक दिसत असतात. आणि त्याला याची खूप भीती वाटत असते. त्यामुळे तो कोणाबरोबर बोलत नाही. व जरा एकलकोंडा होतो. त्यात त्याच्या आई-वडिलांचा घटस्फोट होतो त्यामुळे तर ह्याला खूपच एकटे वाटत असते. माल्कम ला वाटते की आई -वडिलांचा झालेला घटस्फोट यामुळे हा मुलगा एकलकोंडा झालेला आहे व याचे वागणे बदलले आहेत की काय ? माल्कम या मुलाला भेटायला जातो तेव्हा कोल हा त्याला भेटायला तयार नसतो. माल्कम आणि कोलची आई कोलची शाळेतून येण्याची वाट बघत बसलेले असतात. कोल घरी येतो जेव्हा तो माल्कमला बघतो तेव्हा तो अचानक त्याचे अस्तित्व नाकारून खोलीत जायला निघतो. पण माल्कम कोलशी बोलतो आणि म्हणतो की मी उल मदत करायला आलेलो आहे. मी लोकांच्या मनातील गोष्टी ओळखतो. जर मी तुझ्या मनातील गोष्ट ओळखली तर तू एक पाउल पुढे यायचे नाहीतर तू दोन पावले मागे जायचे. बऱ्याच प्रश्नोत्तरानंतर कोल माल्कमशी बोलायला तयार होतो.

मग कोल माल्कमला सगळ्या गोष्टी सांगू लागतो. आणि कोल च्या वर्तनात थोडा बदल होऊ लागतो. एकदा कोल त्याच्या आईबरोबर एका पार्टीला जातो. तिथे काही द्वाड मुले कोलला एका कापतात बंद करतात. आणि त्यामुळे कोलला फीत येतेआणि त्याला दवाखान्यात दाखल करावे लागते. त्याची आई गेल्यावर माल्कम कोल शी बोलायला जातो, तेव्हा कोल त्याच्या मनात खोल दडवून ठेवलेले गुपित सांगतो. कोलला मृत लोक दिसत असतात आणि ते मृत लोक कोलशी बोलण्याचा प्रयत्न करत असतात. हे ऐकल्यावर माल्कमला जरा विचित्र वाटते आणि मग माल्कम त्याच्या जुना पेशंट, ज्याने माल्कमवर गोळी झाडली असते, त्याची ट्रीटमेंट करताना रेकोर्ड केलेले सगळे संभाषण ऐकतो आणि त्याच्या लक्षात येते कि तो पेशंट आणि माल्कम च्या व्यतिरिक्त अजून काही आवाज त्यात आलेले आहेत.

मग माल्कम त्याचा शोध घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो आणि मग शिवाय कोल बरोबर जाऊन त्याला नक्की कुठे मृत लोक दिसतात याचा शोध घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो. माल्कमला जरी काहीच दिसत नसले, तरी तो कोलला या सगळ्याकडे खूप पोशितीव दृष्टीने बघायला सांगतो आणि म्हणतो कदाचित हे मृत लोक तुझ्याशी बोलतात कारण त्यांना तू मदत करू शकशील असे वाटते. त्यानुसार कोल २-३ मृत लोकांच्या नातेवाईकांना काही गोष्टी सांगतो आणि मग कोल ची मृत व्यक्ती दिसण्याबद्दलची भीती नाहीशी व्हायला लागते. नंतर माल्कमची पुढील केस काय असते.. माल्कम आणि कोल यांचे संबध कसे संपतात हे बघा "द सिक्थ सेन्स" मध्ये.

सिनेमाचा शेवट एकदमच निराळा आहे. सिनेमा अतिशय छान आहे. सगळ्यांनी बघावा.. अर्थात ज्यांना भूत-प्रेतांची भीती वाटत नाही त्यांनी बघावा. सिनेमात फार काही बिभित्स सीन नाहीत. एक-दोन सीन असले, तरी ते सिनेमाच्या कथेच्या दृष्टीने आवश्यक आहेत. हा सिनेमा जरी इंग्रजी असला तरी भारतीय मूळ असलेल्या एकाने लिहिला आहे. त्यामुळे अजून छान वाटले.

तुम्ही हा सिनेमा बघितला असल्यास किंवा अजून काही प्रतिक्रिया असल्यास जरूर लिहाव्या.

Malcolm Crow is a leading psychologist in the town. He is specialized in child psychology and is helping a lot of children to come out of mental stress and tensions. Because of his reputation and service to society, Mayor recognizes him with a honor plaque. As he returns home and is celebrating his award with his wife, they hear a sound and notice one of the glasses is broken. He starts looking for an intruder in his house and he discovers a old patient of his. His patient looks very upset and disturbed and just shoots at Malcolm.

Another patient of Malcolm is a nine year old boy Cole. He sees ghosts everywhere and even during the day time, specially when no other people are around him. Cole is really scared due to this ghosts around him. He is also becoming a loner and is not having any friends. His parents are recently separated and this has added more mental stress on little Cole. Malcolm's preliminary analysis about the reason of Cole's situation is divorce of his parents. Initially Cole is not ready to interact with Malcolm at all. While Malcolm is waiting with Cole's mother for Cole to return form school, Cole simply ignores him.


Malcolm strikes a conversation with him. He tells Cole that he is there to help him and requests him to play a game with him. He tells Cole that he can tell what is going on in people's minds and if guesses Cole's mind right, Cole with step one step towards him, else he can put a step back. After a lot of perseverance Cole gets interested bit and starts talking to Malcolm.


As days pass, Cole opens up with Malcolm and starts improving slowly. One of those days, Cole attends a party with his mother. Some naughty kids in the party lock him up in a closet. In the darkness of the closet he sees some ghosts again and in the hysteria, he injures himself and needs to be taken to the hospital in unconscious state. That was the time Malcolm visits Cole, and he really opens up his real secret fear. This was the time he believes that Malcolm is really going to help him and describes how he sees dead people and how they talk to him. Malcolm is really confused now, he starts recalling the conversations he had with a old patient of him, the one who fired a gun on him at one point. He goes back and listens to the recordings he has with the old patient and discovers that there were some other voices recorded in that, which he had failed to hear that time.


Malcolm really get involved in the case now and starts digging dipper and dipper in to it. He advises Cole to listen to the dead and try to understand what they are trying to tell. He gives Cole a positive perspective. He suggests Cole that may be they are approaching him for help and if he does that, they will stop bothering him. Slowly Cole gathers courage and started observing the dead he sees and starts interacting him. With help of Malcolm he meets some of the relatives of the dead and talks to them. This helps Cole to come out of the mental stress. How finally Malcolm handles the case needs to be watched in the movie.

The climax of the movie is really different. This is a must watch movie, but be careful if you are scared of horror movies.All the scenes and decent, only are at times shocking and scare the audience. Much much better than most of the horror movies I have seen, The movie is produced in Hollywood but by an person of Indian origin Night Shymalan. Bruce Willis as Malcolm and Haley Osment as Cole are really good. This movie received six Oscar nominations.

मेझेस अॅन्ड मॉनस्टर (Mazes and Monster)

रॉबी हा कॉलेज मध्ये जाणारा मुलगा असतो. त्याची आई दारुडी आणि वडील खूप कडक शिस्तीचे असतात. व याचा एक लहान भाऊ हॅलोवीनच्या दिवशी घरातून पळून गेलेला असतो. याला याच्या भावाची खूप आठवण येत असते व तो नक्की का सोडून गेला हे त्याला माहित नसल्याने अतिशय दुख झालेले असते. रॉबीला कोलेज मध्ये त्याच्या सारखेच काही मित्र भेटतात. केट फ्लींच हि मुलगी खूप हुशार असते, तिचे पुढे जाऊन लेखिका होण्याचे स्वप्नं असते. हिचे वडिलांवर खूप प्रेम असते, पण वडील तिला व तिच्या आईला सोडून जातात. त्यामुळे ही खूप दुखी असते. डॅनियलचे आईवडील त्याचे ग्राफिक डीझायनरचे स्वप्नं अमान्य करतात. आईवडिलांना दिलेल्या नकारामुळे हा दुखी असतो. जेजे नावाच्या मुलाची आई इंटेरियर डेकोरेटर असते. ती सारखे ह्याची खोली बदलत असते. त्याचा याला खूप वैताग आलेला असतो. जेजे जवळ एक पक्षी असतो. त्याचे नाव मार्लिन. तो पक्षीच काय जेजेला समजून घेऊ शकतो असे त्याला वाटत असते. तर असे हे चौघे या न त्या कारणाने दुखी असलेले जीव एकत्र येतात. त्यात भरीस भर म्हणून त्या चौघांना देखील मेझेस अॅन्ड मॉनस्टर या खेळाचे वेड असते.

तर हा खेळ असा असतो, की यात प्रत्येकाने एक एक कल्पनेतील पात्र रंगवायचे. या पात्रांकडे काही जादू असू शकते व त्या जादू द्वारे ते त्यांना येणारे प्रश्न सोडवू शकतात. आता हे दुखी झालेले जीव या खेळातून त्यांच्या सगळ्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे शोधण्याचा प्रयत्न करत असतात. चौघांच्याही घरातील सगळ्या लोकांना त्यांच्या मुलांचे ह्या खेळाबद्दलच वेड माहिती असते. त्यामुळे घरातील सगळे त्यांना कॉलेज मध्ये जाताना हा खेळ खेळू नका असे सांगतात. चौघेही हो म्हणतात, पण हे एकत्र आल्यावर, खेळ खेळल्याशिवाय त्यांना चैन पडत नाहीत. तर एकदा असाच खेळ खेळत असताना जेजेला एक कल्पना सुचते. तो म्हणतो की हा खेळ खेळण्याच्या ऐवजी जर आपण एका गुहेत जाऊन हा खेळ खेळलो तर त्याला खऱ्या खेळासारखी मज्जा येईल. सगळे त्याला होकार देतात. आणि ते चौघेही त्या गुहेत जाऊन हा खेळ खेळतात.

मग चौघांना गुहेत जाऊन खेळ खेळण्याची चट लागते. असेच सुरु असताना एक दिवस अचानक रॉबी गायब होतो. हे तिघे गुहेत त्याचा शोध घेतात, पण त्यांना काही रॉबी सापडत नाही. मग ते घाबरून पोलिसांना खबर देतात. पण पोलिसांना देखील तो सापडत नाही. आणि या तिघांना खात्री असते की रॉबी इतका भित्रा नाहीये, जो आत्महत्या करू शकेल. त्यामुळे या तिघांचा रॉबीला शोधण्याचा शोध सुरु होतो. शेवटी रॉबी, या तिघांना सापडतो का, तो नक्की काय करत असतो ? हे बघा "मेझेस अॅन्ड मॉनस्टर" मध्ये.


सिनेमा ठीक आहे. सुरवातीला वाटत कि हा एक खूप थरारपट असेल तर तसे नाहीये. या सिनेमात टॉम हॅन्क्स अगदी मिसरूड फुटलेला तरुण मुलगा आहे. सिनेमा अगदी आवर्जून बघावा असा नाही.

Robie is a college going boy. His mother has drinking problem and dad is very strict. His brother has gone missing a few years back on Halloween day. He was very fond of his brother and always remembers him. He always keeps thinking about the unknown reason for his brothers leaving the house. Robie joins college and makes some friends. Kate Flinch is a very bright girl. She has an ambition of becoming a author. She really loved her father, but he leaves her and her mother one day. This was one of the disturbing thing in her life. Daniel has a dream of becoming a graphic designer. His parents are not in favor of that. JJ's mother is an interior designer and and keeps changing the layout of his room. He is unhappy with this change in the room. He has a pet bird called Marlin. JJ believes that only Marlin can understand and appreciate his feelings. These four people come together in the college and realize all of them share a passion for the game Mazes and monsters.

This is an interesting game where each player creates a character and develops it. This characters have magic powers and they solve the problems using them. These four spend a lot of time playing this game and really get immersed into it. Their family members are all aware of the kids passion for the game, but are under the impression that after entering the college they will not have time to play the game and also may not find partners. The family members have warned them against playing the games, and they agree, but once in college, they can not resist the passion and fortunately land up in company of other passionate members. They also create small models of the characters and play with them. While they are enjoying the game, JJ gets an exciting idea. There was a cave near the college campus. they decide to play the game in the cave, for more fun and expecting all round experience. They really enjoy the game there in the cave.

They had so much fun in the cave that they get addicted playing it there. During one of these sessions Robie goes missing. Over past few days he has been behaving bit erratic. They search for him for really long time but could not find him. Finally they inform police and a major search operation is launched. This operation too fails. The three friends are sure that Robie is alive and has not committed suicide or something. Where the search leads them and what they find out about Robie needs to be seen in the movie.

The movie is good but not that much a thriller. Tom Hanks looks really young and like a teenager. Do write comments about the movie of you have seen and about the review.

रिंगा रिंगा (Ringa Ringa)

 सिद्धार्थ देसाई हा रंगराव उर्फ श्रीरंग नाईक यांच्या आतल्या गोटातील एक मनुष्य असतो. सुरवातीला तो त्यांचा बॉडी गार्ड म्हणून काम करत असतो, पण एकदा रंगरावचा जीव वाचवल्यामुळे तो रंगरावच्या आतील गोटातील एक मेम्बर होतो. श्रीरंग नाईक हा एका कोळ्याचा मुलगा असतो, खूप गरीब घरात जन्माला येतो. मोठा झाल्यावर समुद्रमार्गाने स्मगलिंग करायला सुरवात करतो. आणि आता राजकारणात येऊन मुख्यमंत्री पदाकडे वाटचाल सुरु असते. रंगरावच्या पक्षाचे अध्यक्ष अण्णासाहेब मराठे असतात. यांना रंगरावाबद्दल बऱ्याच गोष्टी माहिती असतात. पण त्याचे काळे धंदे माहिती नसतात.

सिद्धार्थ, बरोबरच रंगरावच्या आतल्या गोटात, एक असतो जानी ज्याचे काम म्हणजे रंगरावच्या वाटेत येणाऱ्या सगळ्या काट्यांचा खून करणे, प्रत्येक खूप करताना हा बालवाडीत शिकलेल्या इंग्लिश कविता म्हणत असतो. याला बॅन्जो भयंकर प्रिय असतो. आणि तो बॅन्जो चांगला वाजवू पण शकतो. दुसरी व्यक्ती म्हणजे विश्वास दाभोळकर, हा एकदम चॉकलेटी हिरो असतो. जिथे धमक्या व जोर जबरदस्तीने चालत नाही तिथे हा चॉकलेटी हिरो गोड बोलून गोष्टी काढून घेण्यात पटाईत असतो.


सिद्धार्थ देसाईचे लग्न झालेले असते, मानसीशी. मानसीच्या वडिलांना एक मानसिक रोग झालेला असतो, त्यामुळे ते हॉस्पिटलमध्येच असतात. मानसीच्या आईचे अपघातात निधन होते, त्यानंतर तिच्या वडिलांना तिची आई दिसत असते, आणि ते तिच्याशी प्रत्यक्ष बोलल्यासारखे बोलत असतात. अपघातानंतर सुरवातीचे २ वर्ष वडिलांच्या तब्येतीत काहीच सुधारणा होत नाही. पण ६ महिन्यापूर्वी पासून मानसी देखील आई दिसल्याचे नाटक करून त्यांच्याशी गप्पा करते आणि वडिलांच्या तब्येतीत सुधारणा होऊ लागते. मानसीला माहिती नसते कि हे नाटक अजून किती दिवस करावे लागणार.

सिद्धार्थचे लग्नापूर्वी एका सोनाली नावाच्या मुलीबरोबर लफडे असते आणि सिद्धार्थ, माणासीला चिडवण्यासाठी, सोनालीचा फोन आलाय असा नाटक करत असतो आणि या नाटकात बरेचदा विश्वास सामील असतो.

जरी रंगरावचे स्मगलिंगचे धंदे सिद्धार्थला माहिती असतात, तरीही रंगराव त्याचा हिरोच असतो. पण एकदा त्याला कळते कि स्मगलिंग मध्ये रंगराव ने RDX आणले आहे तेव्हा मात्र सिद्धार्थला रंगराव देशद्रोही आहे असे वाटू लागते आणि अश्या देशद्रोह्याला मात्र गोव्याचे मुख्यमंत्रीपद मिळायला नको असे सिद्धार्थला मनापासून वाटते. RDX स्मगलिंगच्या केसेस इंस्पेक्टर कामत कडे जातात, कामत अंथोनीला पकडतो, ज्याच्याकडे सगळे पुरावे असतात. कामत हा खरतर इमानदार असतो. तो यांच्या धमक्यांना घाबरत नाही, पण विश्वास मध्यस्थी करून कामतला रंगरावबरोबर बोलायला तयार करतो. कामत सगळे पुरावे ५ करोड रुपयांच्या बदल्यात देण्याचे काबुल करतो. हेच सांगण्यासाठी सिद्धार्थ, अण्णासाहेब मराठे यांच्याकडे येतो. अण्णासाहेब म्हणतात, कि तू त्या सगळ्या फाईल्स माझ्याकडे आणि फक्त माझ्याकडेच आणून दे. अश्या माणसाला मुख्यमंत्री पद द्यायला नको.

जेव्हा कामत आणि रंगरावचा सौदा होणार असतो, तेव्हा सिद्धार्थ देखील तिथेच असतो. आणि संधी साधून तो सगळ्या फाईल्स घेऊन पळतो. मानसीला फोन करून सांगतो कि भेटायला ये जशी असेल तशी. रस्त्यात मानसीला जानी भेटतो, त्याला कसेबसे सोडवून ती सिद्धार्थला भेटायला जाते, रंगराव, जानी आणि विश्वास तिथेही मानसीवर पाळत ठेवून असतात. सिद्धार्थला मानसी भेटते, ते काही क्षण एकत्र असतात, पण तितक्यात जानी आणि रंगराव देखील तिथे पोचतात. झटापटीत सिद्धार्थ जानीवर गोळी झाडतो, आणि जानी सिद्धार्थवर. यामध्ये मृत्यू होतो, पण नक्की कोणाचा हे आता सांगितले तर मज्जा येणार नाही त्यामुळे ते गुपित ठेवून गोष्ट पुढे सरकते.

हे बघून मानसीला जबरदस्त धक्का बसतो आणि तिला तिच्या वडिलांसारखेच व्हायला लागते. तिला सिद्धार्थ सगळीकडे दिसतो, तसेच जानी पण सगळीकडे दिसतो. सिद्धार्थ- सोनिया च्या बरोबर सगळीकडे घरभर फिरतो असे दिसायला लागते. जॉनी सगळीकडे बेंजो वाजतात, नर्सरी राहीम्स म्हणतो आहे असा भास व्हायला लागतो. इकडे रंगरावची मुख्यमंत्री पदाकडे घोडदौड सुरु होते. मानसीच्या आजारावर काही उपाय सापडतात का? रंगरावचे मुख्यमंत्रीपदाचे स्वप्नं पूर्ण होते का? नक्की कोणाचा खून झालेला असतो, सिद्धार्थ / जॉनीचा ? ज्या कारणासाठी खून झाला असतो ती फाईल शेवटी रंगरावला सापडते का? या सगळ्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे बघायला "रिंगा रिंगा" बघायला हवा.

सिनेमा अफलातून आहे. रहस्यमय आहे हे सांगायलाच नको. सुरवातीला सिनेमा खूपच वेग घेतो सिद्धार्थ पडद्यावरून नाहीसा झाल्यावर मात्र जरा मंदावतो आणि आपण पण चक्रावून जातो. नक्की काय होतंय हे अगदी पटकन समजत नाही. नक्की कोणाचा मृत्यू झालाय हे ओळखण्यात बरीच बुद्धी नष्ट होते, आणि त्यात सिनेमा जरा संथावलेला असल्याने, मेंदू नक्कीच विचार करण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो. हा सिनेमा चेकमेट च्या दिग्दर्शकाने केलेला आहे, त्यामुळे रहस्य सुरवातीला कळू न देता प्रेक्षकांना खिळवण्याचे काम निश्चित साधले आहे. अजिंक्य देव चा रंगराव, संतोष जुवेकारचा जॉनी, अंकुश चौधरीचा विश्वास, भारत जाधवचा सिद्धार्थ आणि सोनाली कुलकर्णीची मानसी सगळे सगळे उत्तम आहे. थोड्यावेळासाठी येणारी सोनाली म्हणजे अदिती गोवारीकर खरं तर एकही संवाद म्हणत नाही. पण तिचा आभास संपूर्ण सिनेमाभर असतो. सिनेमा सगळ्यांनी बघावा असा आहे, कुठेही अश्लील किंवा बिभित्स प्रसंग नाही.

Sidharth Desai is working for Rangarao aka Shrirang Naik. He is actually his right hand man, after he saved his life in an attack on him when he was still his bodyguard. Rangarao was a son of a fisherman, get into smuggling though sea in Goa. Slowly he becomes rich and becomes a politician. Now he is eying the post of Chief minister. Annasaheb Marathe is the party chief. He is aware about Rangarao but not the levels he can get down to become a Chief Minister.

Two other men really close to Rangarao are Johney and Vishwas Dabholkar. Johney is a sharp shooter, using a long range rifle and killing people who are problematic for Rangarao. He has a passion for music, mainly Bango. He likes to play it most of the time and he plays it well too. When is is killing people using his rifle, he keeps humming and singing nursery rhymes. On the other hand Vishawas is chocolate hero. He is very talkative, and has a knack to get things done just by talking sweet.

Manasi is Sidharth's wife. Her father is getting treated for a psychological condition in a nursing home. After Manasi's mother's death in a accident, her father sees her always around and keep talking with her. They try a lot for his recovery, but there were no hopes, so finally Manasi starts to pretend as if her mother is there ans she can see her too. This helps in improving her father's health and she continues to do this for a while.

Sidharth had an affair with Sonali, long before he met Manasi. Once in a while Sidharth pretends in front of Manasi that Sonali has called up and Vishwas is helping him in these pranks.

Though Sidharth knows about Rangarao's smuggling business, he is alright with that, and he helps him in most of his business. But at one point he learns that Rangarao is smuggling in RDX. This really disturbs Sidharth, he can not take this any more now. He is worried of a traitor like this becomes Chief Minister of Goa, that will be a big problem. There is a inspector Kamat who is handling this RDX case, who has a guy called Anthony in his possession. Anthony is the guy who knows everything about the smuggling case. Inspector Kamat is a clean d honest person, and is fearless too. So he does not care about the threats posed by Rangarao. Finally Vishwas comes into play and makes sure that Kamat strikes a deal with Rangarao. Kamat agrees to sell all the evidences to Rangarao fot 5 crore. Sidhharth meets Annasaheb Marathe to tell this situation and request him to make sure Rangarao does not become the Chief Minister. Annasaheb tells him to hand oer the evidences to him and him only, so that he can make sure that Rangarao does not become Chief Minister.

At the time of the real deal execution between Inspector Kamat and Rangarao, Sidharth steals the file and runs away. On the way he calls Manasi to start as she is and come to a particular place to see him. Unfortunately Johny meets Manasi on the way and offers to take her where ever she needs to go. Somehow she manages to escape from Johny but Rangarao, Johney and Vishwas are trying to track Manasi and Sidharth. At one point in this running around, Manasi and Sidharth meet briefly, but Johny and Rangarao reach there in moments. In the scuffle, both Sidharth and Johny pull out guns and fire at each other. It is not disclosed at this point who dies.

But the whole incidence leaves Manasi a mental shock. She starts seeing Sidharth and Sonali together everywhere. She also sees Johny singing his nursery rhymes. She always sees Sidharth and Sonali moving around the home, and she is disturbed. Rangarao is improving his position for grabbing the Chief Minister-ship. Who is able to treat Manasi ? Does Rangarao become CM, Where does the file go ? Can Annasahb Marathe get the file and what intentions he has for using the file. You must watch the thriller Ringa Ringa.

This is a nice movie. The mystery is really good. The story moves fairly fast in the beginning but slows down after the incidence that took lace which changes the course of the movie. The story gets a bit too complicated at times. And even we loose track of what is real and what is imagination of Manasi. This Movie is done by the same director of movie Checkmate He has handled this one also with lot of strength. Rangarao by Ajinkya Dev, Johny by Santosh Juwekar, Vishwas by Ankush Chaudhari, Sidharth by Bharat Jadhav and Manasi by Sonali kulkarni are all really good. Sonali played by Aditi Gowarikar does not have a single line but her illusions are all over the movie. This movie is for all age groups and is fairly child safe.

पिकनिक (Picnic)

अनुराग, तन्मय, ईशा आणि अनिकेत हे चौघे मित्र. ईशा, अनुराग आणि तन्मय हे लहानपणापासूनचे मित्र, तर अनिकेत यांचा काँलेजमधला मित्र. ईशा एकदम टाँमबाँय आणि अधिकार वाणीने बोलणारी. तसाच अनुराग पण खूप अहंकारी आणि ईशावर टोकाचे प्रेम करणारा. तन्मय हा नेहमी अनुराग आणि ईशा मधील भांडणे सोडवत असतो, अनुराग आणि ईशाला समजावून एकत्र ठेवण्याचे काम तन्मय करत असतो. अनुरागला ईशा खूप आवडत असते, पण ईशाला अनुराग हा फक्त मित्र म्हणून ठीक वाटतो, त्याच्या पलीकडे काही नाही. अनिकेत भेटल्यावर ईशाला अनिकेत आवडू लागतो व ते दोघे लग्न करण्याचा निर्णय घेतात. या दोघांचा साखरपुडा देखील झालेला असतो. अनुरागला याचा खूप राग येतो, पण तन्मय या दोघांचे भांडण पुन्हा सोडवतो, व अनुरागला समजावतो. आता अनुराग असे ठरवतो, कि ईशाचे लग्न ठरलंय, आता आपले इथे काहीच नाही, तर भारत सोडून कायमचे नायजेरिया मध्ये वडिलांकडे जावे. पण जाण्यापूर्वी सगळ्या मित्रांना एकदा मस्त पार्टी द्यावी असे याच्या मनात येते, व त्यासाठी सगळ्यांना एका मस्त सरप्राइस पिकनिकला न्यायचे ठरवतो.
पिकनिकची जागा फक्त तन्मयने खूप पूर्वी बघितलेली असते. अगदी एकाट जागी अनुरागच्या वडिलांनी एक मोठे घर बांधले असते. तिथे अनुराग या सगळ्यांना नेतो. सगळ्यांनी दारू प्यायची असे ठरवून दारू प्यायला बसतात, नाच करतात, आणि अनुराग दारू न पिता ती इतरांच्या नकळत फेकून देत असतो. शेवटी, तो तन्मयला खूप दारू पाजून, व त्यात काही औषध घालून बेशुध्ध करतो. आणि अनिकेतला हाँकी स्टीकने डोक्यावर मारतो. मग ईशाला लक्षात येते कि अनुरागने त्यांना इथे का आणले आहे. पण ईशा घाबरेल अशी मुलगी नसते. ती खूप हिमतीने या प्रसंगाला तोंड देते. पण शेवटी हे दोघे बेश्शुध, आणि ईशा एकटी, तिचा अनुराग पुढे कसा निभाव लागणार. शेवटी नक्की काय होते, अनुराग या तिघांना मारतो का ? अनुराग चा बदला सफल होतो का बघा "पिकनिक" मध्ये.
सिनेमात फक्त ५ कलाकार आहेत. त्यातील पाचवा कलाकार तर अगदी २-३ मिनिट असतो. आणि त्याला तसे म्हटले तर काहीच रोल नाहीये. सिनेमा या ४ कलाकारांभोवती फिरतो. सुरवातीला ५ मिनिट तर सिनेमात फक्त हे ४ लोक कसे पिकनिकला जात आहेत हेच दाखवले आहे. नुसता रस्ता आणि यांची बाईक. बर त्यात तरी वेगवेगळे शॉट दाखवावे न,पण नाही.. तोच शॉट परत परत दाखवून सिनेमा कसा असेल याची जाणीव दिग्दर्शक आपल्याला आधीच देतो. पण तरीही या जाणिवेकडे दुर्लक्ष करून मी हा सिनेमा बघितला. सुरवातीला तर काही वेळ हा सिनेमा मराठी आहे का हिंदी अशीच शंका येते. कारण सगळ्यांचे संवाद हिंदीत शिवाय गाणं पण हिंदी मध्ये. या सिनेमात नक्की काय दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न होता याचा विचार करून डोक्याचा भुगा झाला. सिनेमा "मजेशीर थरारपट" म्हणावा लागेल. इतका वाईट सिनेमा मी अजून तरी पर्यंत बघितला नाही. सिनेमा अजिबात बघू नये. एकाद्या सिनेमाची स्टोरी कशी लिहू नये हे बघायचे असेल तर सिनेमा जरूर बघावा. सिनेमा लहानमुलांना बरोबर घेऊन बघण्यासारखा निश्चित नाही.

हे परीक्षण वाचून जर तुम्ही सिनेमा बघितला, तर इथे तुमच्या प्रतिक्रिया जरूर लिहा.
Picnic as the name suggests is a story of a picnic of four friends Anurag, Tanmay, Ishaa and Aniket. Out of these Anurag, Tanmay and Ishaa are friends from school days, and Aniket joins them in college. Anurag is macho and strong headed. With that he is also commanding and possessive. Isha is bold and frank. She has an independent character, kind of self sufficient. Tanmay is a mild guy, who always plays a middleman to solve the conflicts between Ishaa and Anurag. Aniket is also nice guy.

Anurag loves Ishaa very much, but as per his nature, he is over possessive about her. Ishaa prefers Aniket because he is not as commanding and possessive as Anurag and Ishaa enjoys the freedom she needs.

Anurag decides to go to Nigeria to join his dad’s business on completing college. In the meantime Aniket and Ishaa are formally engaged. Aunrag wants to throw in a farewell party before he leaves, since he is not sure how soon he will be back. They decide to go to Anurag’s farm house which is at a remote location. Several kilometers off a highway, there are hardly any vehicles seen and is totally secluded. They stop by a small roadside shop and enjoy some tea. There the shopkeeper mentions Anurag’s trip just the previous week for couple of days. Tanmay points out that Anurag told him that he is going to Chennai and came to farmhouse. But Anurag shrugs it off and changes the topic.

On reaching the farm house, Anurag gets some very good liquor and they all start dancing to the music and enjoying. He mentions that the champagne is non alcoholic so Ishaa can enjoy it too. Tanmay is a avid fan of liquors and starts getting drunk very soon. Anurag is tactfully avoiding drinking. As soon as he is sure that Tanmay is drunk, he hits Aniket with hockey stick on his head and he gets unconscious. At that point Ishaa realizes that Anurag has plotted an revenge on them all for her deciding to marry Aniket.

It needs to be watched if brave Ishaa manages to escape, who helps her and the remaining part of the story. In general the movie does not stand the expectations. It appears a very low budget movie, with very short story being tried to stretch to a movie length. Initially too much of Hindi including a song, makes one think, what language movie is it. Santosh Juwekar, Rahul Mehendale and Sai Tamhankar have played decent roles, but the direction is not up to the mark of recent Marathi cinemas. So watch it on your own risk if you are hard core fan of thriller movies and have high level of tolerance.

चेकमेट (Checkmate)

चेकमेट (Checkmate) मराठी मधला एक Thriller चित्रपट.

हा चित्रपट म्हणजे एक खेळ आहे. आता खेळ म्हंटला म्हणजे हारजीत, डावपेच, इर्षा आलीच. ह्या चित्रपटात खुप कलावन्त आहेत. पण खुप पात्रे असल्यामुळे की काय पण हा चित्रपट खुप (Complicated) किचकट आहे आणि गोष्ट समजायला वेळ लागतो.

कथानक थोड़े पठडीतल्या पद्धितेने सुरु होते. एक Chit Fund अनेकांना फसवते. थोड्या दिवसात पैसे दाम दुप्पट होणार असतात. त्यामुळे खुप लोक पैसे गुन्तवतात. आणि पैसे (प्रेक्षकांच्या अपेक्षेनुसार ) गायब होतात. कथानाकातील मुख्य ३ पात्रे या लोकामधिल एक. मग पैसे परत कसे मिळवायचे यावर एकत्र येउन कट रचतात. त्यात पोलिसांची मदत घेण्याचा प्रयत्न होतो. इतर काही लोकांची पण मदत मिळवण्याचा प्रयत्न होतो. आणि मग उलटसुलट डाव पडतात. Underworld मधे कथानक पुढे सरकणे असे अनेक नेहेमीचे मसाला फोर्मुले आहेत. तिघे सर्वस्व लावून स्वतःचे पैसे परत मिळवण्याचे प्रयत्न करतात.

पण शेवटी कथानक अपेक्षेपेक्षा वेगळ्या कलाटण्या घेते व मनोरंजन होते. सिनेमात काही काही गोष्टींचा सन्दर्भ लवकर लागत नाही. एकदा सिनेमा बघून झाल्यावर पुन्हा एकदा उजळणी करावी लागते. सिनेमातील नायक / खलनायक कोण हे शेवटपर्यंत कळतच नाही. सिनेमातील रहस्य शेवटपर्यंत टिकून राहते.

थ्रिलर आणि Action चित्रपट आवडत असल्यास हा चित्रपट अवश्य पहा.





A good Action and Thriller movie of the recent times in Marathi.

The plot opens with a Chit Fund scheme giving very high returns in short period of time. Several people invest in the scheme, and one day find that the office is closed. Many people have lost their money.

Three people among them get together and decide to find out the gang beihind the scam and get their money back. All three of them had put huge amounts gambling their lives and now in a do or die situation.

The story takes lot of twists and turns, involves Underworld, Police and many more.

If you like Action and Thriller, you will enjoy it.
