बारह आना (Barah Aana )

स्वभावाने भिन्न प्रकृतीच्या तीन मित्रांभोवती ह्या सिनेमाची कथा गुंफली आहे. शुक्ला हा वयाने मोठा, मितभाषी व समंजस असा असतो. याचा भूतकाळ नक्की काय होता हे माहिती नसते, त्याच्या दोन मित्रांना देखिल. शुक्ला एका श्रीमंत माणसाकडे ड्रायव्हरची नोकरी करत असतो. शुक्लाला त्याचे मालक चांगली वागणूक देत असतात, पण मालकिणीचा या शुक्लावर खूप राग असतो आणि ती याला खूपच घालून पाडून बोलत असते.

अमन हा दिसायला एकदम हिरो, पण नोकरी मात्र एका हॉटेल मध्ये वेटरची करत असतो. याला शानशौकी  करण्याचा छंद असतो. त्यासाठी हा ज्याच्या त्याच्या कडून उधारी घेत असतो. तो राहत असतो, त्याच्या जवळपास असणाऱ्या एका किराणा दुकानातून पण हा उधारी घेतो. ते दुकान राणी नावाची एक मुलगी चालवत असते, तिचे ह्या अमनवर प्रेम असते. पण अमनचे मात्र त्याच्या हॉटेल मध्ये येणाऱ्या एका परदेशी मुलीवर मन लट्टू झालेले असते. ह्या परदेशी मुलीचे नाव केट. हि केट देखील अमनशी प्रेमाने वागत असते पण तिचे ह्याच्यावर काही प्रेम वगैरे नसते. पण अमन हिरोला याची काहीच कल्पना नसते.

तिसरा मित्र यादव, हा त्याच्या कुटुंबाला खेड्यावर ठेवून मुंबईत नोकरी साठी आलेला असतो. तो एका वॉचमनची नोकरी करत असतो. आता ह्या बिल्डींग मधल्या कमिटीच्या लोकांची आपापसात भांडण असते आणि त्याचा त्रास ते ह्या वाचमनला देतात. बिचाऱ्या यादव कडे हा जाच सहन करण्याशिवाय दुसरा काहीच पर्याय बाकी नसतो. यादव आणि अमन हे दोघे एकच खोलीत राहत असतात. शुक्लाचे घर दूर असते. आणि शुक्लाचे घर या दोघांच्या मानाने जरा सुस्थितीतले असते. तर अश्या परिस्थितीत असताना, यादवला त्याच्या बायकोचा फोन येतो कि मुलाची तब्येत खूप खराब झालीय आणि त्याला हॉस्पिटलमध्ये भरती करावे लागणार आहे आणि त्यासाठी ५००० रु. हवेत. यादव बिल्डींग मधल्या खूप जणांना पैसे मागतो पण पैसे द्यायला कोणीच तयार होत नाही. अमनकडे पैसेच नसतात. तो तरी कुठून देणार पैसे यादवला. आता मुलाचे काय होणार या चिंतेत यादव रडू लागतो. शुक्लाला त्याचे दुख बघवत नाही आणि तो घरी जाउन त्याच्याकडे त्याने जमवलेले पैसे यादवला नेउन देतो. यादव त्याच्या एका मित्राबरोबर पैसे गावाला पाठवायला म्हणून रेल्वे स्टेशन वर जातो, तेव्हा नेमके त्याचे पाकीट मारले जाते आणि मग यादव अगदीच हतबल होतो.

तो असाच निष्क्रिय होऊन एका हातगाडीच्या शेजारी बसून राहतो. तितक्यात ३-४ जणांचे एक टोळके येते आणि ते यादवशी हुज्जत घालू लागते. यादव लक्ष देत नाही पण तरी त्यातील एक जण त्याला जबरदस्तीने डिवचतो. यादव तिरीमिरीत उठतो आणि त्याला एक ठेवून देतो… इतक्या जोरात मारतो कि तो मनुष्य जमिनदोस्त होतो, त्याला खूप लागते. त्याचे सहकारी घाबरून पळून जातात. यादवला समाजात नाही काय करावे, त्या जखमी माणसाला कुठे सोडावे. यादव त्याला सरळ घरी घेऊन येतो. शुक्ला आणि अमनला सगळी कथा सांगतो. आता तिघेही जण खूप काळजीत पडतात कि काय करावे. त्यात यादवला एक कल्पना सुचते. तो अमन आणि शुक्ल या दोघांना न सांगता त्या जखमी मनुष्याच्या घरी फोन करतो आणि त्यांच्या कडून ३०००० मागतो आणि म्हणतो कि तुमचा नातेवाइक तुम्हाला पैसे मिळाल्यावर परत मिळेल. यादवने ठरवलेल्या प्लॅननुसार त्याला ३०००० रुपये मिळतात. तो ते ३०००० रुपये तिघांमध्ये सामान वाटतो. शुक्लाला खूप राग येतो त्याला असे वाईट धंदे करून मिळवलेले पैसे नको असतात. पण यादवला घरी पैसे पाठवायला हवेच असतात, तसेच अमनला देखील पैसे हवे असतात, कारण केटला पैसे हवे असतात. आता हे असे अपघाताने मिळालेले पैसे तर वापरले जातात.

आता यादवला एक कल्पना सुचते कि तिघांनी मिळून असेच लोकांचे अपहरण करायचे आणि थोडे थोडे पैसे मागायचे, खूप पैसे पण मागायचे नाही जेणे करून ते मिळणे शक्य होणार नाही. अमनला यादवची कल्पना खूप आवडत नाही, पण तरी तो त्यासाठी तयार होतो. आता शुक्लाला तयार करणे हे काम जरा कठीण आहे याची यादवला जाणीव असते. तरीही, यादव आणि अमन, शुक्लाला पटवण्यासाठी त्याच्याकडे जाउन त्याला समजावण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. आता या प्रयत्नात त्यांना यश येते का ? यादवचा अपहरण करण्याचा प्लॅन यशस्वी होतो का हे बघा "बारह आना" मधे.

सिनेमा ठीक आहे. विनोदी आहे असे म्हणतात, पण फार काही विनोदी वाटला नाही. निदान मध्यंतरा पर्यंत तरी बऱ्यापैकी गंभीर सिनेमा वाटला. सिनेमात फार पात्र नाहीत. शेवट आपण ओळखू शकतो, पण इतका सहजासहजी ओळखण्याइतका नाही. सिनेमा बघायलाच हवा असा नाही, पण बघितल्यास फार पश्चाताप होणार नाही


This is a story of three friends who are totally different in most respects form each other. Shukla, is the eldest of all, a bit loner but matured person. His past is a bit mysterious and unknown to his two friends. He is working as a driver for a rich family. His boss is a gentle man and treats Shulka well, but the wife of his boss never treats him well and always passes derogatory remarks on him. 

Second person is Aman, a very smart and young man. He is woking as a waiter in a restaurant. He is happy go lucky man, with hobbies like watching movies and good clothing. He is in habit of borrowing money form everyone for his needs. He always borrows money form a girl called Rani, who runs a small shop near his house. Rani is in love with Aman, but Aman is falling for a foreigner girl Kate, who frequents his restaurant for breakfast. Kate is also really good with Aman as a friend, but is not in love with him. She is stuck in India, while she visited as a tourist and is trying to make money selling drugs.

Third guy is Yadav, who has his family in the village and is trying earn money to support his family back home. He is working as watchman in a residential building and is stuck in the internal fights between the committee members of that building, and suffering torture. But he has to work and make a living and has no other go. 

One day Yadav receives a call form his wife, telling his is son is very sick and the treatment is going to cost at least 5000. He needs to send the money urgently, so he tries to borrow money form almost each member in the building where he is working, but no one gives him any. He is very sad and dejected, and Aman is also not able to help him, since he does not have any money and in small debt himself. When Shulka sees Yadav broke down, he decides to help him with his savings, and gives him the required Rs. 5000. 

Yadav is happy finally and goes to railway station to pas on the money to one of his friends ho was travelling to his village, to pass it on to his wife, for the treatment. Unfortunately someone picks his pocket and he could not send the money. Yadav is totally dejected with his life and is wondering aimlessly in the situation. He is sitting roadside, lost in his thoughts, under a tree near a snack stall. One car stops near the stall and thinking that Yadav is a stall employee, they call him to serve them. Yadav is lost in his thoughts and does not pay any attention to the people, one of the person gets down and approaches Yadav, abusing him. Yadav in fit of anger hits him just one, which makes the person unconscious. The car gang is scared and flee the seen.  

Now Yadav, clueless what to do with this situation, brings the man to their home. The night passes somehow, but next morning they are very worried, what to do with the person at home. Finally Yadav goes out to figure out something, and calls the family to inform the whereabouts of their person. He demands Rs. 30,000 for returning the man, and the family happily agrees to the sum. He executes the kidnap deal flawlessly and returns the person to the family and gets the money. He divides the money equally with his partners Shukla and Aman. Aman is very happy to get the money, but Shukla is upset and does not want the money. But since he is part of the deal and kidnapping, he has to keep quite. 

Yadav is confident of the deal and decides to make this his profession. His plan is to kidnap people and as for money form the family. The sum should be small, so no one will go to the police, but just pay them the money. Aman wants to make money, so even he is scared, he agrees to the plan. Now they need Shulka involved, so that he can drive the people around. Both Yadav and Aman try to convince him. Are they successful in that, does Shukla join the business, can they successfully do it? Watch is in the Hindi movie "Barah Anna".

The movie is good time pass, not really of Comedy genera, but may be called as comedy thriller. Fairly serious story line till interval, It is a story line with few characters and the end is not that predictable. Our recommendation is to watch the movie for some decent pass time, but not must watch type. Do let us know your comments.

ब्लू (Blue)

 आरव मल्होत्रा आणि सागर सिंग हे दोघे खूप जिगरी दोस्त असतात. आरवचा बहामा मध्ये फिशरीचा मोठा उद्योग असतो. तर सागर हा आरव बरोबर काम करत असतो. सागर हा खूप चांगला डायवर (म्हणजे हिंदीत गोताखोर) असतो. सागरचे मोनाशी लग्न झालेले असते आणि त्याचे मोनावर जीवापाड प्रेम असते. त्यात उलट आरव मल्होत्रा खूप मुलींबरोबर फिरत असतो व त्याचे प्रेम वगेरे काही नसते. नुसती मुलींबरोबर चंगळ करायची असा स्वभाव असतो. दोघांना फ्री स्टायल कुस्तीचा शौक असतो. त्यात ते दोघे जन एकमेकांशी शर्यत वगेरे लावत असतात.

तर या सागरला एक छोटा भाऊ असतो, त्याचे नाव समीर उर्फ सॅम. हा सम एक खूप वेगवान मोटारसायकल रायडर असतो. एकदा तो अशीच मोटार सायकल चालवत असताना त्याची निक्की नावाच्या खूप सुंदर मुलीशी भेट होते. पण निक्की एका गुलशन नावाच्या मोटार सायकल स्वराकडे नोकरी करत असते. आता या दोघांची शर्यत लागते आणि त्यात सम जिंकतो. अर्थातात आता हि सुंदर मुलगी निक्की सम कडे आकर्षित होते.

हा गुलशन एक मोठा उद्योगपती असतो. त्याचा उद्योग काय असतो हे मात्र समला माहिती नसते. निकी त्याला इतकेच सांगते, कि गुलशनचे एक काम आहे ते काम जर का तू केलेस तर तुला ५० मिलियन डॉलर मिळतील. इतके पैसे मिळणार म्हणून ते काम करायला सम तयार होतो. काम असे असते कि गुलशन ने दिलेली एक पिशवी एका पत्त्यावर पोचवून द्यायची. सम पिशवी खांद्याला लटकावून गाडी वर स्वार होतो. पण अर्ध्या वाटेत त्याच्या मागे पोलीस लागतात आणि पोलिसांना चुकविण्याच्या भानगडीत तो वेडीवाकडी गाडी चालवू लागतो आणि त्या भानगडीत त्याच्या खांद्याला लावलेली पिशवी खाली पडते.

समलं ही आयडिया पटते, त्यानुसार सम बहामाला त्याच्या भावाकडे निघून येतो. सम आता निकीच्या प्रेमात पूर्णपणे पडलेला असतो. तो निकीला बरेचदा फोन करण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो. पण निकी काही त्याला फोनवर भेटत नाही. एक दिवस त्याला निकीकडून फोने येतो, तर काय हा फोन गुलशन च्या हातात असतो. आता गुलशन संचय शोधात बहामाला पोचलेला असतो.

गुलशन पासून वाचवण्याचा एकाच मार्ग म्हणजे ५० मिलियन डॉलर त्याला परत करणे. पण इतके पैसे आणायचे कुठून. आरवला या सगळ्या गोष्टीची माहिती कळते. आरव कडे इतके पैसे असतात, पण कॅश या स्वरुपात नसतात. त्यात गुलशन समलं फक्त २४ तासांची मुदत देतो. इतक्या कमी वेळात इतके पैसे कुठून आणणार या विवंचनेत सम, आरव आणि सागर पडतात. त्यात आरव सागरला सुचवतो, कि "लेडी इन ब्लू" तुला वाचवू शकेल  लेडी इन ब्लू हा सागरचा विक पोइंत असतो. सागर लेडी इन ब्लू चा विषय काढला कि खूप रागवत असतो, पण आता सगळ्यांच्या समोर फक्त तोच पर्याय शिल्लक राहिलेला असतो. आता हि लेडी इन ब्लू नक्की काय भानगड आहे हे बघा "ब्लू" मध्ये.


सिनेमा ठीक आहे. फोटोग्राफी उत्तम आहे. सिनेमा जरी प्रेडीक्तेबल असला तरी बघायला चांगला आहे. सस्पेन्स मध्ये खिळवून ठेवत जरी नसला, तरी कंटाळा नक्कीच येत नाही. सगळ्यांचे अभिनय ठीक आहे. संजय दत्त आता बर्यापैकी म्हातारा दिसू लागला आहे असे या सिनेमात अगदीच जाणवते. ए. आर. रहमान चे संगीत आहे. सगळी गाणी ढांगचिक, ढांगचिक आहेत. काही गाण्यामध्ये अगदीच तोकडे कपडे घातलेली लारा दत्त बघायला मिळते. सिनेमा एकदा बघण्यालायक आहे, पण बघितला नाही तर खूप काही मिस केलाय असाही नाही.

Aarav Malhotra and Sagar Singh are fast friends. Arav owns a big fisheries business in Bahamas. Sagar is working with Arava and is a really good diver. Sagar is married to Mona and they both love each other. Arav is a flirt nad has affairs with several girls. They are both followers of Free Style Wrestling as sport and enjoy betting with each other.

Sameer aka Sam is Sagar's younger brother. He is a motor cycle rider and has passion for speed. He meet Nikki once while racing another good rider Gulshan. Nikki is working with Gulshan but Sam wins the race against Gulshan so Niki is attracted to Sam now. 

Gulshan runs some sort of business but nature of his business is unknown. Nikki gives an offer to Sam on behalf of Gulashn. The offer is worth 50 Million dollars and which involves just delivering a bag to destination. Sam takes this up since it involves big money and the job seems very simple. But half way through he realizes that police are following him. He rides fast and some rash driving, but in the process the bag is lost. He barely manages to save his own life. When Gulshan knows about the lost bag, he demands Sam to pay 50 million dollars, or he will kill Sam. Now Sam is stuck between Police and Gulshan's men. Finally after consulting with Nikki, he decides to disappear and go to Bahamas to his brother. This will buy him some time to think and manage money. 

Sam reaches Bahamas but he is totally in love with Nikki. He keeps tying to contact Nikki but he is not able to reach her at all. Finally he receives a call form Nikki, bit soon realizes that is is actually a call from Gulshan. Gulshan is already in Bahamas to get hold of Sam. 

Now the only way out is to return Gulshan's money. But no one has that kind of money. Finally Arav comes to know about this, and he wants to help too, bit he too does not have so much liquid cash. Gulshan has given Sam 24 hours time to return the money. While discussing the options Arav tells the only hope now is the "Lady in Blue" Sagar is always upset when Arva talks about Lady in Blue, now that is the only way out and Sagar seems to be ready to explore that option. To find out what Lady in Blue is you need to watch the movie "Blue".

The overall movie is good and worth watching. Though the whole story plot is predictable and the suspense is not one of the best. The photography is really good. The actors have all done a good job. Sanjay Dutt looks a bit too old for his role. Music is by A R Rahamn and most of the songs are fast rap style. Laura Dutta has lot of dance sequences.

शॉर्टकट (ShortCut - The con is on)

 

 शेखरसाठी सिनेमा म्हणजे सर्व काही असते. ह्याने लहानपणापासूनच सिनेमाचे दिग्दर्शन करायचे असे ठरवलेले असते. नुसते ठरवलेले असते असे नाही, तर त्याबरोबर त्याने साठी लागणारा अभ्यास देखील केलेला असतो आणि तो असिस्टंट डायरेक्टर म्हणून काम देखील करत असतो. तिथे भरपूर काम केल्यावर व अनुभव घेतल्यावर तो नोकरी सोडायचे ठरवतो आणि स्वत: स्टोरी लिहून तीचे दिग्दर्शन करायचे ठरवतो.

त्यासाठी त्याचे स्टोरी लिहिण्याचे काम सुरु करतो. शेखर हा एका अगदी छोट्याश्या घरात एका चाळीत (हंसराज वाडी चाळ) राहत असतो. या चाळीचा मालक कांतिभाई नावाचा एक गुजराती मनुष्य असतो. हा खूपच चांगला असतो. याला चाळ विकण्याच्या बऱ्याच ऑफर्स येतात पण हा चाळ विकत नाही. या चाळीत राहणारी जनता पण खूप चांगली असते. या चाळीतील सगळे जण शेखर वर प्रेम करत असतात. शेखर आता नोकरी सोडून दिग्दर्शकाचे काम करणार, स्वत स्क्रिप्ट लिहिणार हे ऐकून सगळ्यांना आनंद होतो. सगळे लोक त्याला सहकार्य करतात.

मानसी ही एक इंडस्ट्री मधील मोठी नायिका असते. हिच्या घरचे हिला ३ शिफ्ट मध्ये काम करायला लावतात व सगळे पैसे स्वत घेतात. हिला आता एकूण तिच्या कुटुंबांबद्दल प्रेम राहिलेले नसते. हिचा भाऊ विक्रम सतत हिच्या मागे असतो. मानसी यशस्वी नायिका होण्याच्या आधी पासूनच शेखरवर प्रेम करत असते. शेखरला हे प्रेम मान्य असते पण त्याला मानसीचे असे भेटणे मान्य नसते. कारण त्यामुळे तिच्या प्रतिमेवर काही परिणाम होईल असे त्याला वाटते.

अन्वर एक ज्युनियर आर्टीस्ट म्हणून काम करत असतो. हा शेखरचा मित्र असतो. या दोघांचा एक मित्र राजू ह्याचे पण सुपरस्टार होण्याचे स्वप्न असते. पण त्यासाठी त्याला मेहनत करायची नसते. तर सगळीकडे शॉर्टकट कसा मारता येईल हेच तो बघत असतो. अन्वर आणि राजू हे शेजारी राहत असतात. घरमालक राजूचे सामान घराबाहेर काढून टाकतात, तेव्हा अन्वर ते सामान राजूकडे पोचवतो पण सांगतो कि माझ्या घरी तुला जागा नाहीये. त्यावेळी राजूच्या मनात शेखरच्या घरी जाऊन राहण्याची कल्पना येते. तो राजूच्या घरी जातो, राजू त्याला राहण्याची परवानगी देतो. राजू ज्यावेळेस येतो तेव्हा शेखरची स्क्रिप्ट लिहून पूर्ण झालेली असते.

त्याने एका निर्म्यात्याबरोबर काम करण्याचे ठरवलेले देखील असते. इकडे राजू लवकर सुपरस्टार कसे होता येईल याचे विविध मार्ग शोधत असतो. जेव्हा त्याला कळते की शेखरने एक स्क्रिप्ट लिहिली आहे तेव्हा तो ती स्क्रिप्ट पळवतो आणि तोलानी नावाच्या एका निर्मात्याला देतो. राजूच्या स्क्रिप्टच्या बदल्यात या सिनेमात हीरोचे काम करण्याची मागणी करतो. स्क्रिप्ट खूपच छान असते त्यामुळे, तोलानी राजूची मागणी मान्य करतो. शेखरला स्क्रिप्टची चोरी समजत नाही. जेव्हा राजूचा सिनेमा तयार होतो तेव्हा त्याला कळते कि त्याची स्क्रिप्ट चोरून हा सिनेमा केलेला आहे. तोलानीचे सगळे पैसे त्यात अडकलेले असतात, त्यामुळे शेखर केस करण्यास नकार देतो. हा सिनेमा सुपरहिट होतो व शेखरचा चांगुलपणा बघून तोलानी त्याला काही पैसे देऊ करतो. पण राजू ते स्वीकारत नाही. याच दरम्यान मानसी घर सोडून शेखर कडे राहायला येते. दोघे लग्न करतात.

राजूने चोरलेली स्क्रिप्ट, लग्नाचा भार, नोकरी गेलेली, या दरम्यान शेखर खूप खचून जातो. सिनेमा सोडायचे ठरवतो, पण त्याला साधी नोकरी करणे पण दुरापास्त होते, कारण सगळे जण त्याला मानसीचा नवरा म्हणून ओळखू लागते. एक दिवस शेखर आणि मानसीचे भांडण होते, आणि त्यात मानसी घर सोडून निघून जाते. परिस्थितीच्या भोवऱ्यात अडकलेला शेखर शेवटी कसा वर येतो हे बघा "शॉर्टकट" मध्ये.

सिनेमा ठीक आहे. ठीक म्हणण्यापेक्षा कंटाळवाणा या स्तरात जास्त मोडतो. सुरवातीला तर खूपच कंटाळा येतो, पण उत्तरार्धात जरा जोर पकडतो. म्हणजे गोष्ट थोडी पुढे सरकते. आणि आता पुढे काय असेल हे बघण्याचा उत्साह येतो. सुरवातीला अर्षद वारसी खूप रिळे खातो आणि त्याचा अभिनय, आणि एकूणच सगळे कंटाळवाणे होते. सिनेमातील काही गाणी तर का टाकली आहेत असा प्रश्न पडतो. एका गाण्यात अनिल कपूर आणि संजय दत्त, या सिनेमातील नायिके बरोबर नाचतात. सिनेमातील गाणी सिनेमाची लांबी वाढायला टाकली आहेत हे सांगण्याची गरज नाही. या सिनेमाचा निर्माता अनिल कपूर आहे. अक्षय खन्नाचा अभिनय ठीक आहे. बाकी सिनेमा बघितला नाही तरी चालेल असा आहे.

Shekhar has passion for movies. He has a lifetime dream of making a movie of his own. He has been putting a lot of hard work for this. He gets a job as assistant director for a renowned director and performs well. At one point he decides to use his experience and direct a movie of his own. He has to do that by quitting his job and getting into it full time.

Shekhar is staying in a place called Hansa Raj Chawl. This is a small place, owned and rented by a Gujrathi person called Kantibhai. He is a very good person and is not willing to sell the Chawl to any builder. All the people in the Chawl like Shekhar and have lot of love and respect for him. All are really happy with his decision of getting into movie direction on his own and help him with whole heart.

Manasi is a budding but famous artist in the movie industry. Her family members are very greedy and make her work in three shifts to make lot of money for her work. At one point finally she starts hating her family members, specially her brother Vikram, who just follows her and spies on her rather than doing any work of his own. She is in love with Shekhar from the beginning of her career. Shekhar to loves her a lot, but not comfortable with meeting her like this, he feels that might affect her image as a lead artist.


Anwar is a friend of Shekhar and is just a junior artist. Another friend of them is Raju, who has ambition of becoming a superstar but is not ready to work hard for that. He is always on a lookout of a shortcut in life to achieve anything. One day due to non payment of the rent, the landlord vacates Raju's house and keeps all his belongings outside. Anwar just help Raju as courtesy and passes on all his stuff back to Raju. Anwar tell him that he can not accommodate Raju in his house, so Raju decides to go and stay with Shekhar. Since Shekhar has finished writing the script, he decides to help Raju and let him stay with him for a few days.

At this time time Shekhar is already in discussion with a producer about making the film. Raju is still exploring his ways and means in life to become a superstar. When he knows that Shekhar has a good script ready for a movie, he steals the script, and takes it to a producer called Tolani. Tolani is impressed with the script and he agrees with Raju that he will be made a hero of that movie. Shekhar is not aware of the theft and without his knowledge the movie is made. When Shekhar learns that the script is stolan and the movie is made he decides to go legal way to stop the movie. But Tolani pleads to him telling all his money is stuck in the movie and he will be bankrupt if the movie does not make it to the theaters. Being a good nature person Shekhar agrees not to get into legal matters, and the movie is super-hit at box office. Tolani offers him some money for but Skekhar denies to take anything from him. During this time Manasi get fed up at the situation at her home and leaves the house to stay with Shekhar and they get married.

Shekhar is really in a big psychological depression with stolen script, marriage and no job. He decides to quit movie industry because now he is known as Manasi's husband and is not offered a proper job. With this stress he has a argument with Manasi and she leaves his home. How does Shekahr deal with the situation and what kinds of shortcuts he explores needs to be watched in the movie Shortcut.

The movie is not very good but okay one. It is slow movie in the first haff, and get bit interesting the later part. Arshad Warasi has got lot of face time but he has not justified his role. His acting and has not shown any spark in this movie. The songs are most of the time out of place. Being Producer of the movie Anil Kapur has performed a dance sequence along with Sanjay Dutt in the movie, just to add length to the movie. Akshay Khanna has acted well, that is the only plus point of the movie. In short a family movie but need not watched if you have a better option.

 प्रेम चोप्रा याला गाडी मध्ये काहीतरी फेरबदल करून गाडी कशी जोरात पळवता येईल असे प्रयोग करायला फार आवडत असते. याचे जान्हवीशी लग्न झालेले असते. प्रेम चोप्राच्या आजोबांचे जिम असते, जे आता त्याला मिळालेले असते. पण त्या जिम मध्ये सगळ्या मशीन्स जुन्या झालेल्या असतात त्यामुळे काही ना काही तरी तक्रारी येत असतात. प्रेम काही उद्योग न करता, नुसता गाड्यांच्या मागे असतो, त्यामुळे घर चालवायला बिचारी जान्हवी जिम सांभाळते. या दोघांचा एक मित्र असतो वीर कपूर. याचे विद्या नावाच्या मुलीवर प्रेम असते. पण याला काही नोकरी धंदा नसल्याने ह्या दोघांनी लग्न केलेले नसते. वीरचा भाऊ धरम कपूर हा एक खूप धनाढ्य माणूस असतो. (तो कश्यामुळे धनाढ्य होतो, किंवा त्याचा नक्की काय धंदा असतो ते शेवटपर्यंत कळत नाही). हा धरम कपूर वीरला दर महिन्याला पॉकेट मनी देत असतो.

तर तो पॉकेट-मनी डबल व्हावा म्हणून प्रेम, वीरला सांगतो कि धरम भाईला सांग तुझे लग्न विद्या नावाच्या मुलीशी झाले आहे. धरमवीरचा पॉकेट-मनी डबल करतो. आता वीरला १ लाख रुपये पॉकेट-मनी म्हणून मिळू लागतात. वीर त्याच्या पैश्यातील थोडे पैसे प्रेमला त्याच्या गाडीसाठी देत असतो. आता प्रेमची गाडी खूप छान तयार झालेली असते. आता या गाडीला कोणीतरी गिऱ्हाईक मिळायला पाहिजे असे त्यांना वाटू लागते एकदा असा गिऱ्हाईक मिळाला आणि गाडी विकली कि पण खूप पैसे होतील अशी गणिते हे दोघे करतात. पण आता हि गाडी चांगली आहे ते कसे पटवायचे या विवंचनेत प्रेम असतो. त्यात त्याला एक आयडिया सुचते.

गावात एक टोबू नावाचा श्रीमंत गुंड असतो. जो सगळ्या लोकांना उधारीवर पैसे पुरवत असतो. त्याला बोलता येत नसते त्यामुळे तो काचेच्या ग्लासवर चमचा फिरवून आवाज काढतो आणि त्याचे चमचे तो काय म्हणतो आहे हे समजावून सांगतात. तर या टोबूकडून प्रेमने आधीच पैसे घेतलेले असतात. त्यामुळे तो वीरला म्हणतो कि आता तुझ्या नावावर आपण तोबू कडून पैसे घेऊ. आणि पैसे घेऊन कार रेस मध्ये जाऊ. तिथे आपली कार जिंकेल आणि मग खूप पैसे मिळतील. वीरला ही कल्पना पटते, त्यानुसार तो टोबू कडून ५ लाख रुपये घेतो. ठरल्यानुसार हि दोघे रेस मध्ये भाग घेतात. पण दैववशात यांची गाडी जिंकत नाही. सुरवातीला गाडी खूप जोरात पळते सगळ्यांना वाटते कि आता हीच गाडी जिंकणार. त्यामुळे टोबू त्या गाडीवर ५ लाख रुपये लावतो. जेव्हा यांची गाडी जिंकत नाही, तेव्हा टोबू वीरला म्हणतो कि आता मला १० लाख रुपये परत पाहिजे. वीर इतके पैसे कसे काय आणायचे या चिंतेत असतो. पुन्हा प्रेमला कल्पना सुचते कि, तसेही वीरचे घर खूप मोठे आहे. ते घर भाड्याने दे, ज्याचे डीपॉझीट तुला १० लाख देईल आणि शिवाय तुला दर महिन्याला भाडेही मिळेल. वीरला हि कल्पना आवडते त्यानुसार ते दोघे घर एका RGV उर्फ रघुला भाड्याने देतात. हा रघु खरा तर खूप गरीब मनुष्य असतो, पण त्याला खूप मोठी लॉटरी लागते त्यामुळे तो मोठे घर घेण्याचा विचार करतो आणि वीरचे घर घेतो. या सगळ्या गोष्टी वीर त्याच्या भावाला सांगत नाही. यावरून वीर आणि विद्याचे भांडण होते व विद्या रागाच्या भरात तिचा फोन घरीच विसरून बाहेर निघून जाते. त्यातूनच अजून एक गोंधळ म्हणजे, वीरला त्याचा भावाचा फोन येतो. की तो गोव्याच्या विमानतळावर आलेला आहे आणि ४ तास विमान लेट आहे त्यामुळे तुम्ही दोघे, म्हणजे विद्या व वीरने भेटायला यावे.

आता विद्या तर घर सोडून गेलेली असते तिला कसे बोलावणार हा मोठा प्रश्न असतो. शेवटी वीर विद्याला न घेता, प्रेमला घेऊन विमानतळावर जातो. यांना वाटते कि थोड्यावेळात धरमचे विमान येईल आणि तो जाईल म्हणजे विद्याला भेटवण्याची गरज नाही. पण दुर्दैवाने धरमचे विमान अनिश्चित काळासाठी लेट होते व धरम घरी येतो. मग सुरु होतो गोंधळ. कारण आता विद्या म्हणून कोणाला तरी उभे करणे गरजेचे असते. ती विद्या नक्की कोण होते, या सगळ्या गोंधळात खऱ्या गोष्टीचा पत्ता धरमला लागतो हे बघा "ऑल द बेस्ट" मध्ये.

सिनेमा विनोदी आहे. काही काही विनोद चांगले आहेत. सिनेमात तसे बघितले तर काहीच तथ्य नाही. डोके बाजूला ठेवून जर सिनेमा बघितला तर त्यातल्या विनोदाचा आस्वाद घेऊ शकाल. सिनेमातील अनिमेशन अगदीच तद्दन आहे. सुरवातीला कार रेस जी दाखवतात ती खूपच विचित्र दाखवली आहे. कार रेस मध्ये लोक हेल्मेट न घालता बसतात हा तर खूपच मोठा विनोद वाटला. नंतर कार उलट्या पालट्या होतात तेव्हाचे अनिमेशन तर अगदीच प्रपोरशनला न धरून केले आहे असे वाटते. सिनेमातील एकूण कपडे, रंग संगती खूपच भडक वाटली. सिनेमा बघावा असा अजिबात नाही. पण बघितला तरी कुटुंबाबरोबर बसून बघण्यालायक आहे, निदान सिनेमा बघताना कॉमेंट करून तरी आनंद लुटता येईल. .
 
 Prem Chopra is a automobile buff. He always keeps playing around with his car engine and improves its performance. He is married to Janavi. His grandfather owned a gym, and not he has inherited it. Since it is very old one, most of the machines have some problem or the other. Prem is always into his cars, so Janavi has to take care of the Gym and the home too. They have a very close friend called Veek Kapur. He is in ralationship with Vidya, but since Veer does not have a job, they are not married yet. Veer's elder brother is Dharam Kapoor. He is very rich man. He is in some big business. And he is giving pocket money to Veer every month.

But since they are in Goa and have a lavish lifestyle, Veer needs more money. In consultation with Prem, he makes a p;lan. He tells his Brother Dharam, that is now married to Vidya and Dharam should increase his pocket money. Dharam is very happy and doubles it. Now this extra money he invests in Prems car, and now his car is improved a lot. Now they plan to sell this car for a good bargain and make some money, but how to convince the prospective buyer that this car is really a good one. They start thinking about that and in a while they get a brilliant idea.

They plan to race in a illegal car race, where one wins huge amount on winning. But that race entry fees is high too, and they need to borrow that money. There is a underworld money lender called Tobu. He is not able to speak, so he makes some sounds using a glass and a spoon. One of his men works as interpreter to explain what that means. But Prem has already borrowed some money form him, so he tells Veer that they can borrow money on Veer's name. Invest that in the race and win lot of money. Retunr Tobu's money and have fun. Veel likes the idea and borrows money from Tobu. AS they enter the race, unfortunately they loose. Since the car was doing well in the begining, they were expected to win, but untimately they loose.

Tobu puts in his 5 lacks expecting them to win, so he is angry too. He catches hold of Veer and demands 10 lacks now. Now they are in bigger trouble. Now again he consults Prem. Now this time he has another idea. He suggests Veer to lease out his big house and demand for 10 lakhs as deposit amount. He can pay that to Tobu and save himself for the time being. Veer likes the idea.

They start looking for a tenant. They fins a prospect called Raghu. Raghu is a very poor man, but has won a big lottery and has become rich. He wants to rent a big house and enjoy. He likes Veer's house. And decides to rent it. Veer is doing all these things without informing his brother Dharam. Vidya is not happy with this and she has a argument on this with Veer. She is furious and she leaves his home a goes away. Unfortunately Dharam calls up at this moment. He tells Veer that he is on his way to Africa, but his flight has got delayed. SInce he has 3-4 hours, Veer should immiditely come to airport and see him. This will give Dharam opportunity to meet Vidya too.

Now Vidya has just left house and is not answering her cell phone, so Veer goes to airport alone telling Dharam that was not at home, and since he may not have much time, Veer came alone to see him. Unfortunate for Veer, Dharam's flight get cancelled for the day, so Dharam insist that he wants to go home with Veer to see Vidya. Now Vidya has to be at home, so Prem has to do something about it. There starts the big fracial comedy of All the Best.

This is a typical farcical comedy where we need to watch it without trying to reason most of the things. Just enjoy the fun. The movie animations and trick photography is not up to the mark. Things get ridiculous at times. In general the movie is bit gaudy and loud at many times. Not definaelt must watch type, but if you decide to enjoy it anyway, it will be good time pass with family.

आयो विश करे (Aao wish kare)

मिकी हा नावाचा १२ वर्षाचा मुलगा असतो. याचा बोनी नावाचा एक खूप खास मित्र असतो. मिकीच्या घरात आई, वडील व लहान बहिण मिनी असे लोक असतात. मिकी तसा लहानपणापासूनच खूप समजूतदार असतो. वडिलांचे व्हीडीओ गेमचे दुकान असते. मिकीला लहानपणापासूनच व्हीडीओ गेमची आवड असते. त्यात घरचेच दुकान, त्यामुळे हा सतत गेम खेळत असतो. याच्या वडिलांना त्यामुळे याचा राग येतो. मिकी सकाळी उठल्यापासून मितिका नावाच्या मुलीच्या मागावर असतो. मितिका हि १८-२० वयोगटातील एक सुंदर मुलगी असते. गावातील खूप मुलं हिच्या मागे असतात. पण हि कोणाचीच डाळ शिजू देत नाही. तर अश्या या मितीकाच्या प्रेमात मिकी कधीचाच पडलेला असतो.

एकदा मिकी, मितीकाची वाट बघत कोपऱ्यावर उभा असतो, मितिका येते. बोनी मिकीला सांगतो कि हिच्या मागे आपण जाऊ. त्याप्रमाणे ते तिच्या मागे मागे एका हॉटेल मध्ये जातात. तिथे मितिकाला कसा मित्र हवाय याची चर्चा ते ऐकतात. त्यात त्यांना असे कळते की तो मुलगा क्युट असला पाहिजे, गालावर खळ्या हव्यात. मग तो मुलगा तिच्यापेक्षा लहान असला तरी चालेल. हे ऐकल्यावर मिकीचे मनोधैर्य वाढते आणि तो तिच्याशी बोलायला जातो. बोलताना तिच्या मैत्रिणी म्हणतात, की अगं, हा तर तुझ्या मनातील मुलगा आहे. ते ऐकून मितिका म्हणते छे, हा तर अजून बच्चा आहे. हे ऐकल्यावर मिकीला खूप म्हणजे खूप वाईट वाटते.

त्याच दुखा:त तो घरी येतो तर घरी आई वडिलांचे भांडण सुरु. आणि त्या भांडणातून त्याला कळते कि मिकी हा त्यांचा मुलगा नसून तो त्यांचा दत्तक घेतलेला मुलगा आहे. हे कळल्यावर तर त्याला अतिशय दुख होते. तो घरातून लगेच बाहेर पडतो आणि दूर डोंगरावर जाऊन रडत बसतो. तर तिथे त्याला हिचकॉक भेटतो. हा हिचकॉक जे बोलेल ते खरे होत असते. हिचकॉक त्याला म्हणतो की तू आता खूप दुखात आहेस आणि त्याचे कारण म्हणजे तू सध्या लहान आहेस आणि तुला मोठे व्हायचे आहे. हे ऐकल्यावर मिकी म्हणतो हो कि हे बरोबर आहे. पण मी तर इतक्यात मोठा होऊ शकणार नाही. हिचकॉक म्हणतो की तिथे एक विहीर आहे, त्यात जर का तू तुझी खूप आवडती गोष्ट टाकली आणि एक इच्छा केली तर ती पूर्ण होईल. हे ऐकल्यावर मिकीला खरे वाटत नाही. पण हिचकॉक हा जे बोलतो ते खरे होते, त्यामुळे मिकी त्यात एक नाणे टाकतो आणि डोळे उघडून बघतो तर तो तितकाच असतो. मिकीला वाटते की हिचकॉक जे बोलला ते खरे होणार नाहीये. तो तसाच घरी जातो आणि झोपतो. सकाळी उठतो तर काय तो एकदम मोठा झालेला असतो.

आता एकदम मोठा झाल्याने याला त्याचा फायदा होतो का तोटा ? मोठा झाल्यावर मितिका त्याच्या प्रेमाला हो म्हणते का ? हे बघा "आओ विश करे " मध्ये.

सिनेमा चांगला आहे. मुख्य म्हणजे पौन्गडावस्थेतील मुलांना आवडू शकेल असा वाटतंय. आफताबची अक्टिंग उत्तम आहे. या सिनेमातील नायिका हि नवीन आहे. ती पण ठीक आहे. एकदम लो बजेट सिनेमा आहे पण चांगला आहे. गाणी खूप आहेत ती जरा कंटाळवाणी होतात. सिनेमाचा शेवट छान आहे. ज्यांना फॅन्टसी आवडते त्यांना हा सिनेमा नक्की आवडेल. सिनेमातील विनोद चांगले आहेत, मध्ये मध्ये काही नाजूक, भावनिक क्षण आहेत जे तुमच्या डोळ्यात पाणी आणतात. हा सिनेमा टॉम हॅन्क्सच्या "बिग" या सिनेमावरून घेतला आहे. मी बिग बघितला नाहीये, पण हा सिनेमा चांगला आहे, असे माझे मत आहे. पण हा सिनेमा खूप चालला नाही, काही लोकांना अजिबात आवडला नाही. तर काहींना खूप आवडला. एकदा बघण्यास हरकत नाही.

Micky and Bony are two very fast friends. They both are just teenagers. Micky has his mom, dad and younger sister at him home. Considering his age, he is very matured in thinking. His dad owns a video game parlor. And Micky likes to play video games a lot and being owner of the games parlor, he plays video games a lot. His father is not very happy with his always playing video games.

Over his summer holidays, Micky has been following a girl called Mitika. She is stunningly beautiful girl about 18-20 years old. She is dream girl of so many youths in the town, but does not have a boyfriend yet. Irrespective of the age difference Micky has fallen for Mitika. Once Micky is waiting for Mitika to show up on a street corner. They see her coming and decide to follow her. She enters an restaurant to join some of her friends. Bony and Micky follow her inside and sit on one adjacent table. Incidentally her friends get into a discussion on how their dream boyfriends will be. Mitika is talking about herself and says she would like a cute boy, with dimples. She will not mind if he is younger than her. In short Micky fits in her expectations. This really boasts Micky's courage and he goes to talk to Mitika while her friends are on counter to pick up some ice cream. On return her friends say. wow this kid looks like your dream boy. On this Mitika say oh this is just a kid. Micky is very sad hearing this.

He returns home with disturbed mind, and as he was entering the house, he overheard his parents conversation. They are in heated argument over something, and learns from his dad that he was an adopted child. This adds to his sorrow considerably and he goes off to a near by hill and cries sitting on a bench. He meets his friend Hitchcock there. This is an weird character, dressed odd and whatever he says becomes true. Hitchcock is trying to talk with him about his grief, so he starts a conversation with him. He says the cause of your sorrow is your age. You want to grow up soon. Micky agrees to this and says how can I grow up fast. Hitchcock tells him there is a wish well nearby and anyone drops a favorite possession and makes a wish with sincerity, that wish gets fulfilled.

Micky did not believe this wish well story, but decides to give it a try anyway. He has a coin, which is really his prized possession. He drops that coin with a wish of growing up immediately, but on opening his eyes, he is still the same. Frustrated with this, he goes home and sleeps. The next morning when he wakes up, he is a handsome adult man. Now what kind of advantages and disadvantages this brings to his life ? Is he able to get in good books of Mitika and get her ? Watch this in "Aao Wish Kare". Meaning in English "Let's Wish".

The movie is good, and specially for kids. Altaf has done a good job. The lead actress is new face, but has done a decent job too. There are a bit too many songs in the movie. If you like fantasies, you will enjoy it. Some parts are really funny. And some are touchy too. This is based on Tom Hanks movie "Big". We enjoyed this family movie and though this has not done good business in Box Office, I would recommend it to watch once.

रॉकेट सिंग सेल्समन ऑफ द इयर (Rocket Singh - Salesman of the year)

हरप्रीत सिंग हा एक अत्यंत सामान्य बुद्धीचा पदवीधर असतो. प्रत्येक परीक्षेत याला ४०% टक्क्याच्या वर मार्क कधीच मिळालेले नसतात. आता इतक्या कमी मार्कांवर कुठे नोकरी मिळणार असा याच्या मित्रांना प्रश्न पडतो. हा जरी सामान्य बुद्धीच मुलगा असला तरी याचे सगळ्या मित्रांशी खूप चांगले संबध असतात. म्हणजे तो कागदी परीक्षेत जरी मागे असला तरीही, लोकसंबध कसा नीट जपावा याची याला पूर्ण कल्पना असते. शिक्षण झाल्यावर पुढे उच्च शिक्षण घेण्याचा प्रश्नच नसतो. घरात आईवडील नसल्याने आजोबांनी याला मोठे केलेले असते. आता नोकरी करणे हा एकाच पर्याय याच्या समोर असतो. पण कुठली नोकरी करणार असा प्रश्न विचारला की "सेल्स" असे याचे उत्तर असते.


तर असा हा हरप्रीत नोकरीसाठी मुलाखत द्यायला AYS नावाच्या एका कॉम्पुटर विकणाऱ्या कंपनीमध्ये जातो. मुलाखतीला बोलावण्याची वाट बघत असताना त्या कंपनीतील सेल्स मधील लोकांच्या प्रत्येक हालचाली हा टिपून घेतो. मुलाखत घेताना, सेल्स  मॅनेजर याला मुद्दामून इरेजर काढून घेतलेली पेन्सिल मला विक असे म्हणून त्याच्या समोर फेकतो. हा प्रयत्नांची पराकाष्टा करून पेन्सिल कशी चांगली आहे हे पटवून देण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो. पण सेल्स  मॅनेजर नितीनला काही पटत नाही. पण तितक्यात कंपनीचा मॅनेजिंग डिरेक्टर खोलीत येतो आणि नितीन म्हणतो की इतकी छोटीशी पेन्सिल हा मर्सिडीज म्हणून विकतो आहे, तू याला तुझ्या टीम मध्ये घे. नितीनची इच्छा नसते, पण मॅनेजिंग डिरेक्टर सुनील पुरीच्या आग्रहाखातर हा याला घेतो.

छोटेलाल मिश्रा हा या ऑफिस मधील प्युन असतो. याला ऑफिस मधील सगळे जण कप-प्लेट असे म्हणत असतात. मिश्राला हे आवडत नसते, पण हा कंपनीमधील सगळ्यात कमी दर्जाचा नोकर असल्याने याला बोलण्याचा काहीच अधिकार नसतो. कोयना म्हणून रिसेप्शनिस्ट असते. हिचा वापर एक अॅटम गिर्ल म्हणून केला जातो. हि ऑफिस मधील खूप कामे सांभाळत असते. गिरी म्हणून कस्टमर सपोर्टचा मॅनेजर. हा गिरी  एक वल्ली असतो, ज्याला पोर्नोग्राफी फोटो बघण्यात खूप रस असतो. हा ऑफिस मध्ये बसल्या बसल्या हेच काम करत असतो. पण हा त्याच्या कामात खूप हुशार असतो. ऑफिस मधील सगळे सेल्समन एकमेकांशी खुनशीने वागत असतात. प्रत्येकाची एकमेकांशी स्पर्धा असते, आणि एकमेकांवर अजिबात विश्वास नसतो. थोडक्यात काय तर ऑफिसमधील वातावरण चांगले नसते.

साध्याभोळ्या हरप्रीतला हे सगळे बघून खूप विचित्र वाटते. पहिल्याच दिवशी याला वर्षभराचे टारगेट दिल्या जाते. प्रत्येक सेल्समनला शहरातील एक भाग वाटून दिलेला असतो. तो सेल्समन त्याच भागात सेल करू शकेल, तर हरप्रीतच्या वाटेला एक रेसिडंट एरिया येतो. हरप्रीत, नितीनला म्हणतो कि इथे तर कोणीच कॉम्पुटर घेणार नाही, त्यावर नितीन त्याला म्हणतो कि तू नवीन आहेस तुला हाच भाग सांभाळला पाहिजे. जेव्हा हरप्रीत फिल्ड वर जायला निघतो तेव्हा नितीन त्याची काम हरप्रीतला करायला सांगतो. तो असाच एका कंपनीत जातो, आणि तिथे त्याला लाच किती देणार असे विचारले जाते. हे बघून हा खूप गडबडून जातो व परत येताना कंपनीच्या तक्रार केंद्रात या अधिकाऱ्याबद्दल तक्रार नोंदवतो. याच्या तक्रारीमुळे कंपनीची मोठी ओर्डेर कॅन्सल होते.

सगळे लोक याला नाव ठेवू लागतात. व याला काही बुद्धी नाही हा एकदम झिरो आहे असे सुनील पुरी म्हणतो. हरप्रीतला बाहेर जाण्यास मनाई केल्या जाते, आणि ऑफिस मध्ये बसूनच याने कस्टमरला फोन करायचे असे ठरवल्या जाते. हा फोन करायला लागला कि ऑफिस मधील सगळे उरलेले सेल्समन याला कागदाची विमाने करून फेकतात. एकुणात याला इथे खूप अपमानित वागणूक मिळते. पण हरप्रीत सगळे सहन करतो. कोयना जरी फटाकडी असली तरी, तिला हरप्रीत बद्दल एक सॉफ्ट कॉर्नर असतो. ती त्याला चोरून २ कॉम्पुटर विकत घ्यायला उत्सुक असलेल्या ग्राहकांचे पत्ते देते. सुरवातीला हरप्रीत म्हणतो कि मला हे नको, पण शेवटी ते पत्ते ठेवतो.


दुसऱ्या दिवशी या ग्राहकांना चोरून म्हणजे कंपनीच्या लोकांना न सांगता भेटतो. तिथे त्या २ मुलींना नक्की कुठला कॉम्पुटर हवा आहे याची चौकशी करून तो कॉम्पुटर बाजारात कुठे असेम्बल करून मिळेल याची सगळी माहिती काढतो. कंपनी किती नफा घेते याचा हिशोब याच्या लगेच लक्षात येतो. आणि तेव्हाच तो ठरवतो, कि हे कॉम्पुटर आपण स्वत: विकायचा. त्याप्रमाणे तो सकाळी ऑफिस मधून या मुलींना कॉम्पुटरच्या डीलचा फोन करत असतानाच याच्या अंगावर एक रॉकेट येते. आणि त्याच आवेशात तो सांगतो कि तुम्ही "रॉकेट सेल्स कार्पोरेशन" या नावाने चेक द्या. तिथेच हरप्रीतच्या रॉकेट सेल्स कार्पोरेशनचा जन्म होतो. नंतर  हरप्रीत कंपनी कशी पुढे नेतो व रॉकेट सेल्स काय काय कमाल करते, हे बघा "रॉकेट सिंग- सेल्समन ऑफ दि इअर" या सिनेमामध्ये.

सिनेमा टिपिकल हिंदी सिनेमा नाहीये. त्यामुळेच का काय, हा बॉक्स ऑफिस वर आपटला. हा सिनेमा बघून झाल्यावर एकदम ताज तवाने वाटावे इतका छान सिनेमा आहे. कुठेही वास्तवाची अवास्तव साथ सोडली नाहीये. सिनेमातील सगळी पात्र खूपच सुंदर रंगविली आहेत. सिनेमात एकाच हिरो आणि बाकी त्याला सपोर्टिंग असे नाहीये. सगळ्यांच्याच भूमिका तितक्याच महत्वाच्या आहेत. चक दे इंडिया च्या जोड गोळीने पुन्हा एकदा चांगल्या विषयावरील आशावादी सिनेमा दाखवला आहे. रणबीर कपूरचा हा पहिलाच सिनेमा मी बघितला, पण अभिनयात तो कुठे कमी पडला आहे असे वाटलेच नाही. बाकी बरेचसे कलाकार नवीनच आहे. त्यांच्या अभिनयावरून सगळ्यांनी खूप मेहनत घेतली असावी असे वाटले. हा सिनेमा जरूर बघावा असे मी म्हणीन. सिनेमाचे ट्रेलर बघून सिनेमा बघावा किंवा नाही हे ठरवत असाल, तर सिनेमाचे प्रोमो मात्र निश्चित कमी दर्ज्याचे आहेत.

Harpit Singh is a commerce graduate with very ordinary academic records. He has never scored more than 40% marks in his college. More than him, his friends are worried how he is going to get a job. But he has a very good friends circle and he has maintained very good human relations. And he is very clear in mind that he doe not want to study further. His grandfather has raised him so far and now as soon as possible he needs to get a job for himself. On being asked anytime what kind of job he would get into he always replies with confidence S-A-L-E-S.

Harpit approaches a company called AYS, which is into sales of PCs. While waiting for the interview, he is very closely observing the sales staff of the company. The sales manager Nitin checks his academic records and is not very happy with him. But when Harpit insists he can do a good job with sales, passes him a pencil after removing its eraser and challenges him that he should sell it to him for Rs.100. Harpit takes this challenge and tries very hard to convince him, but Nitin is not convinced. At this point Sunil Puri the managing director of the company enters Nitin's office and tells Nitin to hire Harpit, since he was impressed with Harpit's hard work to try to sell a pencil as if it was a Mercedes Benz Car. With a bit of resentment Nitin agrees and hires Harpit.

Chhotelal Mishra is a office boy / peon in the office with jobs like serving tea / coffee, clearing plates, moving files etc. Everyone calls him Cup-Plate, which he finds insulting, but has no choice, since he needed the job. Office receptionist and telephone operator, Koyana, she too has similar situation. She is very efficient and able person, but she is more used as eye candy for the office. Giri is customer support manager, he is one character in itself. He spends most of his time in office watching pornography photographs. He is very good in his work. All the sales team has unhealthy and cut throat competition among each other. Rather than helping and working as a team, they are trying to prove each other wrong and try to prove they are smarter than others. In general we can say the work culture is not good.

Harpit is fresh out of college and is not aware of the office politics. He is uncomfortable with all these. On top of it, he is given a big target for a year. Whole city is divided in sales zones among the sales team members. Every sales person has to operate in his own territory. Harpit is assigned a region which is largely residential area, which may not have much of computer business. Harpit tries to talk this to Nitin, but he tells him being a new comer Harpit has to work in that category. Now Nitin started using harpit for his small tasks like moving some documents, dropping off quotations etc. But in the process he learns a big philosophy from Nitin, "Even Spiderman has to take risks in life, then why not a salesman ?" On one of such job, Harpit visits a company to hand over a quotation for a big order, the office in charge directly asks him how much he can give him under the table to award Harpit's company the order. Harpit is a new comer and straightforward guy, he gives a complain about this officer in customer's company, and in the process looses the big order.

This earns a bad name to Harpit rather than praise. Sunil Puri starts calling him duffer and zero IQ person in front of all the people. Harpit is stopped from making any marketing calls outside, but has to make only phone calls to get business. All the sales team starts teasing him and when he is busy making calls, they will throw paper rockets. He is insulted by all the sales team. Koyana is bold and rough in communications with most office members, but she has some soft corner for Harpit. She secretly passes him couple of inquiries for computer orders. Initially Harpit hesitates, but later accepts the contacts.

Next day, Harpit directly visits the clients and finds out, it is a newly started company by two fresh graduate students. He gets the specifications from them and explores the assembled computers market on his own. Very quickly he realizes the amount of profit the company is making on such computers. After a lot of mental calculations, he decides to pick up and fulfill the order himself, rather than the company. While in the office, he receives the call form the client, for the order and he finalizes it. When it come to payments, he is banged by one more rocket from one of his naughty colleague. In a spur of a moment, he tells the client to pay the check on Rocket Sales Corporation. This was the moment, a new company is born, it takes some shape, has some really rough times you need to enjoy in Rocket Singh Salesman of the year.


This is not a very typical Hindi movie. I am not sure, how well it fared on the box office. But I liked the movie because of its optimistic outlook. Good thing about the movie is it is very much down to earth and realistic story. All the characters in the movie are played well. This movie is made by the same team as "Chak De India". It is a good balanced movie, having several characters with significant roles rather than a single hero centric movie. Ranbeer Kapoor has justified the role he has been offered with his spark of acting. Several new faces had done well in the movie. I would recommend you to watch this family movie. Do not decide looking at the theatrical trailer of the movie, which we feel is not well done.
