७ खून माफ (7 khoon maaf)

सुझाना ॲन मारी एका अतिशय श्रीमंत बापाची मुलगी. हिचा मृतदेह पोलिसांना सापडतो आणि ते तिची चौकशी करतात तेव्हा कळते की हिचे पूर्वी ६ पुरुषांबरोबर लग्न झालेले आहे आणि सगळ्यांचा आकस्मिक मृत्यू झाला आहे. आता पोलिसांकडे केस आल्याने, ते तिच्या पूर्वीच्या आयुष्यात नक्की काय झाले ते न समजल्यामुळे, तरीही ६ नवर्यांचा काहीतरी घातपात मृतू झाला आहे असे वाटून तिचा या वेळी नक्की मृत्यू झाला आहे कि नाही याचा शोध घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्याचे ठरवतात. तिच्या मृत्यूचे सगळे पुरावे एका अरुण कुमार नावाच्या फ्लोरेन्सिक एक्सपर्ट कडे जातात. योगायोगाने हा अरुण कुमार सुझानाला लहानपणापासून ओळखत असतो. आता जरी त्याचे लग्न झालेले असले, तरी कोणे एकेकाळी, एका अनभिज्ञ वयात अरुण कुमारला सुझाना बद्दल आकर्षण असते. आता सुझाना मेली यामुळे अर्थात्तच अरुण कुमारला खूप वाईट वाटते. सगळे पुरावे शोधता शोधता त्याला पूर्वीच्या आठवणी येतात आणि खरी गोष्ट सुरु होते.

तर सुझानाचे वडील खूप श्रीमंत असतात. सुझाना लहान असतानाच हिची आई मरण पावते, त्यामुळे वडिलांशिवाय तिला दुसरे जग नसते. ती थोडी मोठी होते तोच तिचे वडील देखील मरण पावतात. आता जो पुरुष दिसेल त्याच्यात ही प्रेम शोधू लागते. हिच्या वडिलांकडे ३ विश्वासू नोकर असतात., गालिब, मॅगी, आणि गुंगाचाचा. गालिब, वडिलांचा पी ए असतो, तर मॅगी घरात सैपाक व इतर कामे बघत असते आणि गुंगा चाचा हा वडिलांच्या तबेल्याची काळजी घेत असतो. गुंगा चाचाने अरुण कुमारला मुलासारखे वाढवले असते. गुंगा चाचा नावाप्रमाणेच मुका असतो.

वडील गेल्यावर, वडिलांच्या ओळखीचा असलेला एक आर्मी ऑफिसर, मेजर एडविन रॉड्रीक्स याच्या बरोबर हिचे लग्न होते. याला अशोकचक्र मिळालेले असते, पण एका युद्धात याचा एक पाय तुटलेला असतो. आणि याने खोटा पाय लावलेला असतो. हा सुझाना बाबत खूप पझेसिव असतो. आणि याला मुल हवे असते, पण सुझानामध्ये काहीच शारीरिक कमी नसते, पण रॉड्रीक्सला हे पटत नाही. आणि त्याच्या स्वतत असलेला कमीपणा त्याला सारखा सतावत असतो. तो हिला मारहाण करतो आणि अचानक रॉड्रीक्सचा मृत्यू होतो. त्याच्या अंतिम संस्कारच्या वेळेस हिचे लक्ष जमशेद सिंग राठोड कडे जाते, हा गीटार वादक असतो, तो हिच्याशी लग्न करतो व म्हणतो कि आता माझे नाव जिमी आहे. सुझानाचे जिमी वर खूप प्रेम असते, पण ह्याला ड्रग्जचे व्यसन असते. सुझाना त्याचे व्यसन सोडवण्याचा खूप प्रयत्न करते पण तो असफल होतो, आणि अचानक त्याचा मृत्यू होतो.

दुखातून बाहेर पडायला म्हणून ही काश्मीरला जाते तिथे तिची ओळख मोहमद नावाच्या एका शायराशी होते. त्याची हळुवार शायरी, हिला भुरळ घालते, ही मोहमदशी लग्न करण्यासाठी धर्मांतरण देखील करते. जरी मोहमदच्या कविता हळुवार असतात, पण त्याचे प्रेम हे खूप हिंसक असते. तो हिला बऱ्यापैकी मारहाण करतो आणि अचानक ह्याचा मृत्यू होतो. सुझानाचे नवरे इतके कसे पटापट मृत्यू पडतात, याच्या मागे काहीतरी नक्कीच काळेबेरे असे किमतलाल नावाच्या इंस्पेक्टरला वाटत असते. पण सुझाना तिच्या सौंदर्याच्या जोरावर किमतलालला नेहमीच मार्गी लावते. आता घोड्यांच्या शर्यतीत हिचा घोडा पहिला येतो आणि मग ही बक्षीस घ्यायला जाते आणि तिथे निकोलाई व्रोन्स्कीच्या प्रेमात पडते.

गुंगाचाचा कडे राहत असलेला अरुण कुमार ह्याच्या शिक्षणाची सगळी जबाबदारी सुझानाने घेतलेली असते. निकोलाई हा रशियन असतो, त्याच्याकडे अरुण कुमारला रशियाच्या एका युनिवर्सिटी मध्ये अडमिशन मिळवून देण्याची गोष्ट करते. सुझानाच्या प्रेमाखातर तो अरुण कुमारला रशियात घेऊन जातो. अचानक अरुण कुमार कळते कि निकोलाईचे लग्न झालेले आहे आणि त्याची रशियात एक बायको देखील आहे. सुझानाला जेव्हा कळते तेव्हा अचानक निकोलाईचा मृत्यू होतो. निकोलाई हा रशियन असल्याने त्याच्या मृत्यूची चौकशी जास्त डिटेल मध्ये होऊ लागते. त्या चौकशी साठी किमतलालचे घरी वारंवार घरी येणे सुरु होते. या चौकशीत सुझाना अडकणार, हे सुझानाला कळते, त्यातून वाचण्यासाठी सुझाना एकदा त्याच्याबरोबर एक रात्र घालवते. किमतलाल मग सारखा सारखा हिच्याकडे येऊ लागतो आणि शेवटी कंटाळून सुझाना त्याच्याशी लग्न करते आणि थोड्याच दिवसात त्याचा मृत्यू होतो.

या सगळ्या प्रकाराला कंटाळून सुझाना शेवटी आत्महत्या करण्याचे ठरवते. ती आत्महत्या करायला एका गाडीच्या समोर जाऊन उभी राहते आणि तिला अपघात होतो. त्या अपघातातून तिला मोधू वाचवतो. याला औषधी वनस्पतीबद्दल खूप माहिती असते. तो खूप चांगला असतो, सुझानाला वाटते की तिला हवा असणारा पुरुष आता तिला मिळाला आहे, आणि ती मोधूशी लग्न करते.. पण थोड्याच दिवसात मोधूचा मृत्यू होतो. आता मात्र तिचा या जगावरील विश्वास उडतो आणि ती स्वत:ला गोळ्या घालून आत्महत्या करते. आता तिच्या मृतदेह आणि त्या बरोबर असलेले पुरावे पोलिसांकडे आलेले असतात, आणि त्याची चौकशी अरुण कुमार करत असतो.

अरुण कुमारला चौकशीत नक्की काय आढळून येते? सुझाना तिच्या नवऱ्याचे खून कश्या प्रकारे करते, हे बघा "७ खून माफ" मध्ये. सिनेमा ठीक आहे. लहान मुलांना घेऊन बघण्यासारखा निश्चित नाही. ३ तास सिनेमा प्रेक्षकांना कंटाळा येऊ देत नाही. पण सिनेमा बघितलाच पाहिजे असा काही नाही. सगळे नवरे, आणि त्यांच्या खुनाचे प्लॉट चांगले रंगवले आहेत. सिनेमाचा शेवट खूपच वेगळा आहे.

Suzana is a daughter of a very rich person. Her dead body is found and the police are trying to investigate the matter. They find out that she was married to six different men at different points in time and all men have died untimely. This makes the case very complicated, they need to find if her death is natural or there is something fishy in this incidence too. So they want to check the reality behind the whole episode. Arun Kumar is the officer in charge of the forensic analysis of this case. A sheer coincidence is this Arun Kumar knows Suzana from his childhood. Now he is happily married, but at young age, he had a crush on her. With the news of Suzana's death Arun Kumar is very sad and while investigating this case he is remembering his olden days spend around and with Suzana.

Suzana's dad was a very rich person. His mother died when Suzana was very young. For her the whole world now is her dad. But she lost her dad before she was twenty. Now she is looking for love in any man she comes in contact with. Her dad had three employees in his home. Galib who is a personal assistant and accountant, Magi is cook and care taker of the home and Gunga Uncle is in charge of the Horse Stable. Gunga has adapted Arun Kumar in very young age. Susana married her fathers friend who was an army officer Major Edwin Rodrigs, conferred with bravery medals. But in the war, he has lost one of his legs and has an artificial one. Rodrigs is very possessive about Suzana. He also has a major inferiority complex of his handicap. He drinks a lot and beats Suzana at times. One day all of a sudden Rodrigs dies. During his last rites Suzana meets Jamshed Sing Rathod a guitarist. They got along well and soon decide to get married. He becomes Jimmy and they are in deep love for some time. But Jimmy has one problem, he is drug addict. Suzana tries to treat him for his addiction, but she fails. And Jimmy too dies soon.

Suzana is in shock after Jimmy's death and decides to travel to Kashmir to change the atmosphere around her. She meets Mohamad in Kashmir who is a poet. His soft poetry really touches Suzana and again she falls for him. She marries him by accepting Islam. Though Mohamad's poetry was very soft and loving, his love making was very violent and aggressive. He likes beating and hitting her. He too dies and now police department starts feeling foul play in all this. Kimmatlal was the officer put on this investigation. He probes the case for several weeks, visits Suzana's home several times for that. Suzana just uses her looks and manages to keep Kimatlal away from real investigations. One of her horse wins a major race in the region and during the felicitation she meets Nickolai.

Nickolai is a Russian and he starts spending lot of time with Suzana. Arun Kumar was young man by this time and Suzana requests him to get Arun admitted in some good Russian university. After Nickolai's marriage with Suzana, he takes Arun Kumar to Russia for his admission. During this time Arun Kumar learns that Nickolai is already maried in Russia with children. He conveys this to Suzana and on Nickolai's return from Russia he too dies. Now him being a foreign citizen, there is a larger trouble for Suzana. Kimatlal is again back for investigations. Kimatlal is now making progress and seems like Suzana would be in big trouble. To manage this situation she sleeps with Kimatlal. Now Kimatlal starts frequenting her place at odd hours, and finally she decides to marry him, to keep herself out of trouble. He too dies of heart attack one night.

Now Suzana is fed up with life and attempts suicide. She jumps in front of a fast car and the car hits her and runs away. But Modhu saves her life by treating her. He is a herbal physician. He is a very loving and caring person and Suzana feels better very soon. During this course she starts feeling that Modhu was the kind of person she was looking for, all her life. She marries Modhu now, but unfortunately he dies in few weeks. Now she shoots herself and her body with all the evidences are in front of Arun Kumar. He is the forensic expert the police department is relying on now to know the truth behind her life.

What did Arun Kumar find in his investigations? Does she really kill her husbands and if yes how does she manages all this? Watch "Saat Khun Maf" for that. Do not watch this with kids. This is not really a must watch type movie, but enjoyable with interesting story line, plot and script. The movie ends with a bit of surprise.

घनचक्कर (Ghanchakkar)

नीतू आणि संजय हे दोघे नवरा बायको, एका चांगल्या घरात राहत असतात. आता हे सगळे कमावलेले पैसे मात्र मेहनतीच्या कमाईचे नसतात. नीतूला खूप फँशनेबल राहण्याची आवड असते. आणि तिची फँशन जरा विचित्र पद्धतीची असते. संजयला तिचे असे कपडे आवडत नसतात, पण संजयचे ती काही ऐकत नसते. आता पुढील  आयुष्यात वाईट काम करणे सोडून द्यायचे असे ह्या दोघांनी ठरवलेले असते.

पण अचानक संजयला एका पंडित नावाच्या माणसाचा फोन येतो. पंडित त्याला म्हणतो की त्याच्या कडून एक महत्वाचे काम करून घ्यायचे आहे. ते काम काय आहे ते ऐकण्यासाठी एका ट्रेनमध्ये बोलवतो. संजयला हे काम करायचे नसते, पण नीतूच्या आग्रहाखातर हा पंडितला भेटायला तयार होतो. पंडित आणि इद्रिस असे दोघे, संजयला बँक लुटण्याबद्दल सांगतात आणि बँकेची ३५ करोडची लुट तिघात समान वाटून घ्यायचे असे पण सांगतात. इतकी मोठी रक्कम बघून, संजय नितूच्या आग्रहाखातर तयार होतो. तिघे मिळून शिताफीने बँक लुटतात. .

संजय म्हणतो कि आता हे पैसे आपण तिघे वाटून घेउ. पण त्याला पंडित आणि इद्रिस तयार होत नाहीत. ते म्हणतात कि आपण लगेच पैसे वापरले तर चोरी पकडली जाइल. त्यामुळे थोडे दिवस हे पैसे लपवून ठेवू आणि ते पैसे संजयच्या घरीच निट राहू शकतील. त्यामुळे संजय सगळे पैसे लपवायला घॆउन जातो. .

थोड्या दिवसाने इद्रिस आणि पंडित, संजयला गाठतात आणि पैसे मागतात. पण संजय म्हणतो की मी तुम्हाला दोघांना ओळखत नाही, व मी काही पैसे घेतलेले नाहीत. पण पंडित आणि इद्रिसला ते खरे वाटत नाही. मग संजय त्यांना डॉक्टरकडे घेऊन जातो आणि मग डॉक्टर पण तेच सांगतात की संजयला अपघात झाला होता आणि मेंदूला मार लागला होता त्यामुळे त्याच्या स्मृतीला काही प्रोब्लेम आहे. आता पंडित आणि इद्रिस ठरवतात कि काहीही करून याच्या कडून पैसे काढून घ्यायचेच. त्यामुळे मग ते त्याला धमक्या द्यायला लागतात. त्रास देतात. आणि मग एक दिवस नीतूचे अपहरण करतात. नीतूला पळवल्यानंतर मात्र संजयला स्वत:ला ते पैसे कुठे आहेत हे शोधावेसे वाटू लागते. त्याला वाटते की नितूला माहिती आहे, पैसे कुठे आहेत. पण ती सांगत नाहिये. नंतर त्याला असे वाटते कि त्याचा एक मित्र आणि नीतू या दोघांचे काहीतरी सुरु आहे, आणि हे पैसे नितूने त्या मित्राला दिले आणि आता नीतू, संजयला सोडून जाणार. शेवटी संजय ठरवतो कि आता जीवाच्या आकांताने तो पैसे शोधायला लगतो आणि इद्रिस व पंडित हे दोघे पण संजयला निरनिराळ्या डेडलाइन्स देत असतत. .

शेवटी पैसे कोणाकडे असतात, ते पैसे सापडतात का हे बघा "घनचक्कर" मधे. सिनेमातील विद्या बालन चे कपडे मजेशीर आहेत. पण तिचे काम मात्र छान आहे. सिनेमाचा शेवट गेस करू शकत नाही, एकदम वेगळा शेवट आहे. विनोदी थ्रिलर या वर्गात हा सिनेमा आहे. सिनेमा बघावाच आहे असे माझे मत नाही, पण बघितला तर पश्चाताप नक्कीच होणार नाहि. .


Neetu and Sanjay are a couple staying in a nice home. Snajay has a criminal background and his income has been from illegal means. Neetu has a weird sense of fashion and is always in some fashionable attire. Sanjay does not like her dressing sense but Neetu does not care a damn about it. At one point Sanjay decides to quit all criminal life and lead a life on a gentleman.

Sanjay receives a phone call form a guy called Pandit. He offers him a one time criminal  job, that could make him enough rich, so that he can quit all these things. Sanjay was not interested but Neetu convinces him to get the details of the offer and decide. Sanjay meets Pandit and Idris in a train and they explain him a plan to rob a bank. The expected sum is more that enough for Sanjay to retire and live happily thereafter. Neetu convinces Sanjay, he joins the two and rob the bank with ease.

Sanjay offers to share the loot, with Pandit and Idris immediately, but both of them are worried that if they split the sum immediately, they may get caught, so decide to hide the money for some time till the robbery matters settle down a bit. They entrust Sanjay with hiding the money in his house.

After six months, Pandit and Idris contact Sanjay and ask for the share of money. Sanjay plainly refuses them saying he does not even know them and he does not have any money. They try hard, but it appears that Sanjay really does not remember anything. Finally they take him to a doctor and doctor says Sanjay has met with some accident and had forgotten better part of his life. Now both Pandit and Idris start using all possible ways to pressurize Sanjay to get the money. They threaten him, for life, but nothing works. Then they abduct Neetu and at that point Sanjay feels the need to seriously search for the money. He tries very hard, but fails to remember, then he develops a feeling that Neetu knows where the money is, and not telling him. He also suspects that Neetu is having affair with one of their friends and they have plan to dump Sanjay and escape with the money. Pandit and Idris are always on back of Sanjay for money with new deadlines every time.

Finally do they find the money, who has the money and who gets them watch in the movie Ganchakkar. Vidya Balan has a different role with weird clothing options. The climax is totally unexpected and beyond any guess. The movie may be classified as Comedy Thrillar. This is not a must watch movie, but you may not regret if you watch it.

द अटॅक ऑफ २६/११ (The attack of 26/11)

२६/११ मध्ये मुंबई वर झालेल्या आतंकवादी हल्यावर हा सिनेमा आहे हे सांगायला नको. नावावरून ते स्पष्टच आहे. हा आतंकी हमाला खूप जास्त कव्हर झालेला आहे मिडिया मधे. तिथे झालेला हमला हा इतका भयानक होता कि त्याबद्दल रकाने च्या रकाने भरून पेपर मध्ये लिहून येत होते. त्यामुळे या सिनेमा ची स्टोरी अशी काही लिहायला नको. पण आता हा हमाला ज्या एका सूत्रात गुंतवला आहे तो म्हणजे, पोलिस कमिश्नर त्यांची बाजू चौकशी समती समोर मांडताना. मुंबई च्या पोलिस कमिशानारांवर आरोप होता कि त्यांनी हल्याची बातमी मिळाल्यावर लगेच कारवाई केली नाही. त्यांनी लीडरशिप दाखवली नाही.

कथा जशी घडली तशीच दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे. पण त्याची नाटकीय रुपांतर कधी कधी खूपच नाटकी झाले आहे असे वाटते. जसे, बोटीतून येत असताना, ज्या नावाड्या ची बोट पकडून ते येतात्त, त्याला मारातानाचा प्रसंग. असे दाखवले आहे कि कसाब अगदी समोर उभा आहे आणि दुसरा आतंकी वादि नावाड्याला मारतोय. आता इतक्या समोर उभा असताना त्याच्या समोर नावाड्याच्या शरीरातील रक्त उडणार असा साधा सुज्ञ विचार दिग्दर्शकाला पटलेला वाटला नाहि. सगळ्यात शेवटी कसाबला पकडताना इतकी जास्त पोलिसांची कुमक दाखवली आहे, आणि ते सगळे एकच बाजूने आतंकवाद्याच्या गाडीला घेरतात हे जर मजेशीर वाटते. पोलिसांना इतकी अक्कल नसते हे काही पटत नाही.



सिनेमा बघताना मात्र काळजाचे पाणी होते, जे लोक खरच या प्रसंगातून गेले त्यांना खरच सलामी द्यायला हवी. बघूनच प्रसंग आपल्यावर ओढवला असता तर काय केले असते असा विचार मानत येतो. आणि अश्या प्रसंगी , कामा हॉस्पिटल मधील डॉक्टरने जसे सगळ्या पेशंटला लपवले तसा नीट सुज्ञ विचार अश्या बाक्या प्रसंगी सुचायला पाहिजे असे वाटून जाते. कारण अश्या प्रसंगात डोके शांते ठेवून न घाबरता येणाऱ्या प्रसंगाला तोंड देण्याची आपल्याला कधी शिकवण दिलेली नाही.

सिनेमा बघावा ज्या लोकांना २००८ मध्ये नक्की काय झाले होते हे आठवत नसल्यास. नाना पाटेकरने पोलिस कमिशनरची भूमिका केली आहे. कसाब अगदी ओळखू येईल अश्या चण्याच्या कलाकार घेतला आहे. त्याला बंदूक घेऊन लोकांना मारणे या शिवाय फार जास्त काम इंटरवलच्या आधी नाही.



It is needless to say the the movie is about the attacks on Mumbai on 26/11. This event was most covered terrorist attacks in the world probably. It covered all the TV channels and news papers for days and weeks. So the sequence of events is well know to most. But the story line is about a police commissioner who was controlling majority part of the anti terror operations and his take on the whole issue. He was blamed with inaction and lack of leadership qualities to counter the attack effectively. 

The attempt is to show some sequence of events as they happened. But at times there is over dramatization in filming. One of the examples to quote in the scene when the terrorists capture a boat in the sea, on the pretext of seeking help and then use that to reach Mumbai. One of the terrorist is shown cutting throat of the boat owner, and Kasab is shown closely watching the incident. He was shown so close to the scene that he could not have escaped without some blood spill on him. In another incident, when Kasab was captured, all the police force was approaching the car form the same direction, leaving remaining three directions completely open. This looks very stupid, for any police force to do.

It is so difficult to watch how people have gone through in those times, feel like really saluting the people who survived those attacks. It is beyond imagination, how we would react in those kinds of circumstances. The way the doctor protected most of the patients in Kama hospital was really commendable, and we think, can we really think and work like this in so much stress? Are we really trained to handle these kind of situations or even think straight in these times.  

I would strongly recommend for all to watch this movie. Nana Patekar has really done great job in the police commissioners role. Kasab is alright too, looks like real Kasab, but does not have much role half of the time.
