वकिली शिकणारा भाऊ महादेव हा मुंबईला शिकत असतो. आता महादेव लग्नाचा झाला असल्याने, हरीदादा त्याच्या साठी स्थळ शोधतात. बळवंतच्या मध्यस्थीने, महादेवसाठी एक उत्तम स्थळ मिळते. मुलीचे नाव दुर्गा, दुर्गा चुणचुणीत, हुशार आणि चांगल्या गळ्याची, गोड गाणी म्हणणारी असते. लग्न व्यवस्थित पार पडते. मुलगी वयात आलेली नसते, त्यामुळे अजून महादेव आणि दुर्गा यांचा तसा संसार सुरु झालेला नसतो. त्यात महादेवची परीक्षा जवळ येते त्यामुळे तो मुंबईला प्रयाण करतो. दुर्गा, जिचे नाव आता महादेवने उमा ठेवलेले असते, ती दामलेंच्या घरात रुळते. थोड्याच दिवसात उमा वयात येते, त्यानिमित्त्याने करण्यात येणाऱ्या गर्भादान / फलसंशोधन सोहळ्यासाठी महादेवला पाचारण करण्यात येते. महादेव मुंबईहून येतो खरा, पण त्याची तब्येत खूपच बिघडलेली असते. पूजेला देखील तो ग्लानीत असतो. त्याच दिवशी पहिल्या रात्री, उमाच्या जवळ पलंगावर त्याचे प्राणोत्क्रमण होते.
महादेवच्या मृत्यूने सगळ्या घरावर शोककळा पसरते. उमाच्या दु:खाला पारावार उरत नाही. १० व्या दिवशी पिंडदान करण्यासाठी हरी आणि गावातील इतर ब्राह्मण नदीकाठी जातात. परंतु पिंडाला कावळा शिवत नाही. सगळे लोक म्हणायला लागतात कि दर्भाचा कावळा करून पिंडाला शिवावावा, ही एकच शास्त्रात सांगितलेली पळवाट आहे. पण हरीदादाला ते मान्य नसते. हरी पिंडाच्या जवळ जाऊन काही तरी म्हणतो आणि त्याबरोबर पिंडाला कावळा शिवतो. आता दहा दिवस झाल्याने, उमाला सोवळी करण्याचा घाट घातला जातो. उमा खूप रडते, प्रतिकार करते, पण तिचे कोणी ऐकत नाही. नमुआत्या आणि तारा तिला जबरदस्तीने, नाव्ह्याच्या समोर देऊन बसवतात, तितक्यात हरीदादा पिंडदान करून परत येतो. घरातील प्रसंग बघून तो रागावतो आणि म्हणतो की उमाचे केस कापले जाणार नाहीत. गावातील सगळे लोक खूप टीका करतात. सगळ्या ब्राह्मण सभेमधून याचा प्रतिकार केला जातो. दामलेंच्या घरावर बहिष्कार टाकला जातो. पण तरीही हरी उमाला संरक्षण करण्यास मागेपुढे बघत नाही.
घरातील लोकांना हरीचे हे वागणे आवडत नाही, पण त्याला कोणी प्रत्यक्ष दर्शी विरोध करू शकत नाही. हरीला उमा आवडते आणि हरी त्यामुळेच उमाचे रक्षण करतो असे बरेच लोक बोलू लागतात. त्यात हरीची बायको तारा ही आजारी पडते. तारा आजारी पडल्यावर उमा घरातील सगळी जबाबदारी उचलते. अंथरुणावर खिळल्यावर ताराला देखील उमा आणि हरीच्या संबधाबद्दल शंका येऊ लागते. त्यातच तिचे निधन होते. मृत्युशय्येवर असताना, ती हरीला उमाशी लग्न करण्याचा सल्ला देते. पण हरी तसे करत नाही. गावातील लोकांच्या काहीबाही बोलण्यावर पडदा पडावा म्हणून, हरी त्याच्या मुलाचे लग्न करून देतो व घरात दुसरी बाई आल्याने, लोकांच्या वाईट बोलण्याला पट्टी बसते. तर असे दिवस जात असताने, उमाच्या मनाला खूप यातना होत असतात, तिला हे आयुष्य नकोसे होते आणि ती जेवण करणे सोडते. तिच्या मरणासन्न अवस्थेत हरी तिच्या बोलतो, पिंडदानाच्या वेळेस बोललेले सत्य उमास सांगतो. ते सत्य काय असते, उमा आणि हरीच्या मनात एकमेकांबद्दल काय भावना असतात हे बघा "काकस्पर्श" या सिनेमामध्ये.
सिनेमा खूप सुंदर आहे. तसे बघितले तर अगदी सामान्य गोष्ट खूप सुंदर रीतीने सांगण्यात आली आहे. सिनेमा बघितल्यावर खरोखरच "एक विलक्षण प्रेमकहाणी" असे का म्हटले आहे ते कळते. सगळे कलाकार उत्तम आहेत. एकूण सेट, आणि चित्रण बघून आपण खरोखरच पूर्वीच्या काळातील कोकणात जातो. सिनेमा बघावा असाच आहे. पूर्वीच्या तरुण विधवा स्त्रीच्या व्यथा बघून जीव गलबलतो. सगळे कलाकार उत्तम. सिनेमाचा शेवट खूपच अनपेक्षित आहे. सिनेमात लहान मुलांनी बघू नये असा एकही सीन नाही, पण सिनेमा थोडा गंभीर आहे त्यामुळे लहान मुलांबरोबर न बघितलेला बरा.
This movie story line is set in pre-independent India. This is a story of Hari Damale and his family. Most of the story is in flashback. Hari Damale is taking care of his family after his parents, as they die early. His family consists of his wife Tara, two daughters and one son Sankarshan, his brother Mahadev who is studying law in Mumbai, and his widow sister, Namuatya. He owns farm land and orchards in konkan. He is well respected person in the village. He is a forward thinking person and pushes for change, at times even with some resistance from others. Balavant Phadake is his best friend. Balavant is involved actively in freedom fight. Another person in the village Upadhyay is not in good terms with Hari, reason being his orthodox and ritual nature. Upadhyay does not like Hari's modern thinking.
Mahadev, his brother is pursuing his law degree in Mumbai. Hari decides to get his brother married, since Mahadev has reached right age for marriage. Balavant gets a very good contact for the same. Durga is a bright young girl in his distant relation. Durga also knows singing and he thinks that Durga and Mahadev are perfect match. The marriage goes on well, he names Durga as Uma. Mahadev returns to Mumbai alone, since Durga is young yet, she is not sent with her. Mahadev also needs to concentrate on his exams and studies. Uma is getting used to the new place and people. She attains puberty and a ritual of Garbhadaan is planned. Mahadev has to be present for the same and he is called from Mumbai. Mahadev returns form Mumbai but with high fever. He manages to take part in the rituals, but during night his health deteriorates and he dies.
Mahadev's death is a big shock for the whole family. Uma is the biggest victim. The rituals take place according to the traditions. In the Pindadaan ritual, Hari and others wait for long time for crows to touch the Pinda. There are rituals to avoid this ritual, but Hari is not in favor of making a false grass crow to do away with. Finally Hari goes to scene and promises something, and within few minutes crows come to eat the Pinda. At home, the ritual of Uma has to begin. Her head has to be shaved off as a widow. Namuatya is forcing Uma to shave her head, with help of a barber. Fortunately Hari returns in time, and saves Uma from this. He also announces that Uma will not have to shave her head. This attracts lot of criticism in the village, since this is not according to custom of the times. The village Brahman Sabha decides to stop any transactions with Hari's household.
Hari's family is disturbed, but they are not in a position to resist Hari. People started saying that Hari is in love with Uma and that is the reason he is protecting her. After few months of this tension, Tara gets sick. Uma is mature lady now and she really takes care of the house well. Tara too starts doubting the relationship between Hari and Uma. In her final moments, Tara requests Hari to marry Uma after her death, but Hari refuses. After Tara's death, Hari quickly gets his sone married, so that another lady comes to the house. This avoids people doubting his and Uma's relationships. But all these tense years in Uma's life take toll on her mental health. She is really fed up with her life and decides to die by stopping food. She gets really weak, and finally in those moments Hari tells her the reason he has been behaving like that, and what was the promise he made at the time on Pindadaan. The delicate relationship between Hari and uma is really shown very well in Kaaksparsha.
This movie is done very well with a very simple story. This is really a unusual love story. All the actors have done a very good job. The whole productions and set locations are really good and well matching with the story line and Konkan of the times. This a must watch movie and touching because of the problems ladies faced during that times. The movie ends in a very unexpected way. Movie is children friendly but could be bit taxing due to serious story line.

अस्मिता आणि शशांक कर्णिक या दोघांची निशा आणि शुभम अशी दोन खूप गोड आणि लाघवी मुलं. शशांक आणि अस्मिता यांचे पटत नसते त्यामुळे ते दोघेही वेगळे झालेले असतात. अस्मिता एक खूप शंकेखोर असल्याने त्यांचा घटस्फोट झाला आहे असे कळते. अस्मिता, स्वताच्या मतांशी नेहमीच पक्की असते.
