अस्मिता आणि शशांक कर्णिक या दोघांची निशा आणि शुभम अशी दोन खूप गोड आणि लाघवी मुलं. शशांक आणि अस्मिता यांचे पटत नसते त्यामुळे ते दोघेही वेगळे झालेले असतात. अस्मिता एक खूप शंकेखोर असल्याने त्यांचा घटस्फोट झाला आहे असे कळते. अस्मिता, स्वताच्या मतांशी नेहमीच पक्की असते. "Head Strong" म्हणतात न तशी. पण जरी दोघे वेगळे राहत असले तरी दोघांचे एकमेकांशी बोलणे चालणे असते. इतकेच नाही तर शशांकच्या काकांशी (आबा) तर अस्मिताचे अगदी मुलीसारखे संबंध असतात. दर शनिवार, रविवार मुले शशांक कडे जातात आणि अस्मिता आबांकडे.
निशाला नाचात खूप रस. आणि आता मोठी होत असल्याने हिचे प्रश्न वेगळे असतात. म्हणतात न अगदी तशी टीपीकल टीनेज गर्ल. तर शुभम खोडकर पण हसरा मुलगा. या दोघांना आपले आई-बाबा वेगळे का राहत आहेत हे अजून नीटसे कळलेले / पटलेले नसते. त्यात शशांकने आता दुसरे लग्न केलेले असते, राधिकाशी.
राधिका हि पण एक घटस्फोटिता. हिला मुल होणार नाही असे कळल्यावर हिच्या आधीच्या नवऱ्याने हिला घटस्फोट मागितला असतो आणि दुसरा काही उपाय नसल्याने हि देखील "Mutual Consent" असे म्हणून पहिल्या नवऱ्याला घटस्फोट देते. राधिका खूप हुशार, साधी सरळ व सच्च्या मनाची असते. हि मुलांशी जुळवून घेण्याचा सतत प्रयत्न करत असते. बरेचदा अस्मिता जरी, राधिकाशी नीट वागत नसली तरीही, राधिका हिचा दृष्टीकोन नेहमीच चांगला असतो. शशांक हा खूप मोठ्या हुद्द्यावर एका बड्या कंपनी मध्ये नोकरी करत असतो. त्यामुळे जरी मुलांना तो शनिवार-रविवारी घेऊन जातो तरीही कधी कधी असे प्रसंग येतात कि हा दौऱ्यावर गेलेला असतो आणि मुलांना राधिकाबरोबर राहावे लागते. बरेचदा, ऑफिसमध्ये खूप काम असल्याने, मुलांना ने -आण करण्याची जबाबदारी पण राधिकावर टाकली जाते.
त्याच दरम्यान अस्मिता आता CA ची प्रक्टिस करणार असे शशांकला सांगते आणि मुलांची जबाबदारी जरा जास्त घेण्याची विनंती करते. एके दिवशी ती कामानिमित्य दौऱ्यावर जाणार असे सांगते, पण एका दुसऱ्या माणसाबरोबर गप्पा करत असलेली राधिकाला दिसते. याच गैरसमजातून एक कडू सत्य बाहेर येते. अस्मिता यानंतर पुढे काय करते, राधिकाला आपल्या मुलांची आई असे ती समजू शकते का, शशांक आणि अस्मिता या नंतर एकमेकांशी कसे वागतात, शेवटी राधिकाला मुलांच्या मनात स्वताबद्दल स्थान निर्माण करता येते का हे बघा "तुझ्या-माझ्यात".
सिनेमा ठीक आहे. घटस्फोटानंतर देखील मुलांसाठी आई-वडिलांचे संबध ठीक असू शकतात असे दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न इथे केला आहे असे जाणवते. मला राधिकाची भूमिका खूप ताकादाची वाटली. घटस्फोटानंतर देखील मुलांसाठी आई-वडिलांचे संबध ठीक असू शकतात असे दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न इथे केला आहे असे जाणवते. मला राधिकाची भूमिका खूप ताकादाची वाटली. शशांक बरेचदा ऑफिसमध्ये खूप काम आहे म्हणून राधिकावर जबाबदारी टाकतो, तेव्हा हि सगळे मुकाट्याने स्वीकारते. मनाने खूपच चांगली आहे असे दाखवले आहे. शेवटी जेव्हा ती अस्मिताला सांगते कि "पार्टनर चांगला नाही म्हणून खेळ सोडून देणे हे कधीही योग्य नाही" हे अस्मिताच्या भूतकाळावर अगदी परखडपणे, पण आडून ठेवलेले मत आहे असे वाटले. अस्मिता व आबांमधील "मरण हे स्टेशन प्रत्येकालाच गाठायचे असते, फक्त प्रत्येकाचा मार्ग वेगळा आणि स्पीड वेगळा" हे वाक्य आवडले. सिनेमा ठीक आहे.जरा रडका आहे असे मी म्हणीन. सगळ्या कुटुंबाला सोबत घेऊन बघू शकू आहे. गोष्ट जरा वेगळी आहे, तरी आपण शेवट काय होईल याचा अंदाज बांधू शकतो.
Shasank Karnik is a businessman, with a decent business. Asmita is his ex wife, and they have two children. Nisha the elder one is a Teenager and Shubham is the younger son. Though Asmita and Shashank are divorced, they do meet each other. Nisha and Soham would spend weekends with thier dad where as Asmita with Shashank's uncle, who is called by everyone as Aaba. Shashank pays Asmita every month to maintain family and is now married to Radhika.
Radhika is also divorced from her first marriage. When her ex husband discovers that she can not deliver a child, he forced her to divorce on "Mutual Consent". But she is still leading life with positive mindset. She is striving to make Shashank and Children happy and tires to be part of the family. She is working in an advertising agency and is very creative and talented. She is also very busy with her own job. Shashank being a successful and busy businessman, has to travel a lot and at times on weekends the responsibility of children is on Radhika.
Nisha being a teenager has her own problems. She is good in dance and has a passion for it. She always compares Radhika with Asmita and hates and insults her, Radhika always tries to be nice with her. Nisha is also strong headed like her mother Asmita and adamant most of the times. She always looks for reasons to blame Radhika for something or the other. Asmita and Radhika always has a drift among them for obvious reasons.
One day Asmita meets Shashank in his office and informs him that she has decided to start her career as a chartered accountant. She asks him, if he can share responsibilities of the children with higher commitment now. He readily agrees, but hardly has time for children and the burden is on Radhika, who also has a demanding job. This causes a couple of uncomfortable incidences.One day Asmita requests them to pick up children from school since she has to travel for her work. But the same evening she is seen in a conversation with a man. When inquired, she tells there was a slight change in the plan so she came early and calls up the person seen with her for confirmation.

Some of the quotes in the movie are really good. "Death is the ultimate destination for everyone. Only difference is the vehicle one takes and the speed one travels with". Sachin Khedekar, Mrunal Kulkarni are well know and acted well. Sulekha Talwalkar has a really good role and justified it well. Mohan Joshi has a small but meaningful role.
